Here we go again!
Our 15th year at the Royal Cornwall Show and we are ready to go. This year we have Duraform Homes with us to help man the stand and they’ve brought one of their shiny Concrete pumps with them which should answer FAQ no 4, ‘How do you get the concrete in the walls?’ Last year the show broke the 200,000 visitor barrier and we’re pretty sure we spoke to 199,993 of them so we’re ready to do a lot of talking. Come and say hi. You can’t miss us this time.
(STAND 117)
Looking forward to it.
We are the Fell Partnership.

No one will quite focus on the part that matters but underneath all the bling and the infinity pools is a rock solid Nudura house. It may not be the sexy bit but it’s the bit that matters. Looks pretty smart though Doyle and Whitley doing their thing yet again!

It’s all in the detail. Putting a layer of protective tape over the castalations between pours ensures you don’t spill any concrete into the bits you don’t want concrete in which makes it a whole lot easier to start locking the second lift of blocks onto the ground floor. We provide this as part of the starter pack for every site.
Peel it off straight after the pour and you’ve got clean mess free Nudura blocks ready to go up again. This site just outside Okehampton in west Devon was a model of tidy efficiency. We love it. It’s the only way.

Quite a bit of variety at the moment. Loads on in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Every job is a different challenge but we like it like that. Our site support teams have been out and about looking after our customers as ever although finally the sun has come out which makes it easier all round. It also means everyone has woken up and is ready to get building. We don’t mind.

You can’t get much further west on mainland Uk than Sennen cove in west Cornwall. This house is hunkered down at the top of the cliffs looking out over Cape Cornwall. It will receive a battering from the unforgiving Atlantic weather so it needs to be resilient. NUDURA XR blocks with 100mm of insulation either side of a 150mm concrete core is the answer here. Coupled to our i3 window system designed to cope with the worst of the winter storms, we know this house will perform and be built to last.
This is the second house our client has built himself using NUDURA icf and this one is his forever home. With views like that, who wouldn’t want to settle there.

Washed down and ready to go out to site again. We have Nudura builds going on throughout the south west at the moment and we love getting out to deliver to and support all of our customers. It’s a shame they all live so far from each other with the price of diesel at the moment. This week we’ve been to Bristol, Salcombe, Barnstaple Bude, Torrington, Sennan and Cherriton Bishop. We get it done.

A mornings work.
This was a very sunny Salcombe yesterday in south Devon. This is the 14th Nudura house in the immediate area.
Our client had set out and concrete filled the first course with our help and then in-filled the oversite slab which allowed us to make a great start locking everything else straight into place.
Having set everything out to Nudura dimensions, we were able to build the entire ground floor with zero waste. This is the key to a successful build. Every bit of every block used in the building with nothing in the skip!
A clean, tidy and efficient site. Just how it should be!

Spring has sprung. It’s been a long dark wet winter but finally the days are drawing out and a lot of sites are ready to go. We’ve been out and about getting Nudura to our many customers throughout the south west. Nice to able to be see where we’re going at last.

Widecombe in the Moor is probably one of the best known villages on Dartmoor with its rich history, its stunning location high on the moor marked out by the 14th century St Pancras church and the famous Widecombe Fair. It’s a unique place and we have been lucky enough to be involved with the construction of the all new community centre. This wonderful building will be the new heart of the village when it’s completed later this year. 150mm XR Nudura blocks have been used throughout. It’s going to be rock solid and will provide low running costs for generations to come. A building fit for purpose and ready for the future. Special mention must go to the guys at Duraform Homes who have battled extreme and relentless rainfall for the last two months that they have been on site. They have managed to keep the building schedule on time and the roof is due to go on shortly. This winter has shown the type of weather we get up there but we know this one will be up to the job. Will it still be there in 700 years like the church? We’d like to think so.

This is the new Chapel in the heart of Wadebridge, Cornwall. Set within the conservation area of the town, this one needed to blend in from the start. Designed by CFD architects, they chose locally quarried stone to face the Nudura and Delabole slate for the roof, much of it saved from the original building. Bazeley Construction has done an incredible job getting this built on time in a very tight town centre site with roads right on the edge of two side of the site. A great effort by all involved.
