Just2Easy Training 27-08-2026
Thank you to and the team at https://just2easy.com/ for facilitating training for two of our teachers on Tuesday 25th September 2026. Our ICT co-ordinator, Mrs McCann, took the opportunity to disseminate some of the new digital learning to the rest of the staff. The training was very comprehensive and demonstrated opportunities for staff to utilise this fantastic tool to enhance the teaching and learning opportunities for our children. We are excited to share our digital learning with our pupils!

A wonderful start to the new academic year for members of our staff here at Chapel Road Primary School, who joined colleagues from schools across the Diocese today for the Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre gathering, kindly hosted by St. Columb’s College, Derry.

Our staff had the opportunity to hear from a range of inspiring facilitators, including keynote speaker Dr. Melodie Wyttenbach, who shared an uplifting message for the year ahead.

Bishop Donal McKeown encouraged those in attendance to continue creating paths of hope and faith for our young people, while it was also a pleasure to hear encouraging words from our new Bishop-elect, Bishop Michael Router.

A positive and inspiring day for our staff as we look forward to welcoming our pupils back and beginning another successful year together.

Special thanks to Therese Ferry and the staff of the Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre and Diocese of Derry for facilitating.

✨New adventures in learning and play start this Friday 28th August! ✨

🎒Uniforms on, Smiles at the ready!🎒

⏰⏳The countdown is ON! We are bursting with excitement to welcome our little learners for their first day at Chapel Road Playgroup this Friday 🥳✨

🐝 The staff are busy bees this week getting everything set up and ready to go for a fun filled year ahead 🎉. We are super excited for a year of laughter, fun activities, building friendships, and learning lots of new skills through lots of fun learning and play! 🌟

👕 We can’t wait to see our little children looking so adorable and so smart in their playgroup uniforms!

✍️ Please remember to label all your child’s clothing items 🙂

⭐️ Please remember to check your Welcome Pack for your families designated group and time slot. A reminder also was posted to SeeSaw!

Dear Parents/guardians,

I hope you’ve all have a wonderful summer!

In preparation for the children returning to school on Tuesday 1st September, we have been busy getting the school building freshly painted and ready for the new term.

I have attached a before-and-after photo so you can see the transformation! I hope you’ll agree that it’s looking fresh and welcoming for the children’s return. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back!

It has been a privilege to work alongside such a wonderful school community.
