☀️. S U M M E R T E R M ☀️

As we swapped fire lighting for ice cream making and hot chocolate for homemade electrolyte drinks the fun continued this term.

There was no denying that it was the summer term with the excessive heat, but we were lucky as being under the trees was often the best place to be. The children we work with continued to impress us with their enthusiasm, creativity and resilience.

This term children across our schools have created :
Sofas
Tables
Benches
Fiddle toys
Mud kitchens
Hospital wings
Zip lines
And many many more!

The future is bright in these developing creative hands!

Our group on Friday shared so many giggles making this how to guide.

Not only did they nail the use of instructions and technical language but it was so wonderful to feel their little community grow as they worked together.

🌳 F O R E S T S C H O O L T A S K S. 🌳

Each session we ask each child to choose a forest school job to complete. These are all activities which are needed for the group to be able to eat snack - so there is a motivating purpose to them all!

This child is collecting orders for the drinks and will be responsible for making them with a friend.

Today was one of those days which we would have loved to have bottled to keep on a safe shelf for the dark soggy days of Winter. As that is a little tricky this film may have to do instead!

There are days when we arrive at work feeling the overwhelm of life, but every time being outside eases this and puts a spring back in our step. We see this in the children and young people we work with too.
