🌳 F O R E S T S C H O O L T A S K S. 🌳

Each session we ask each child to choose a forest school job to complete. These are all activities which are needed for the group to be able to eat snack - so there is a motivating purpose to them all!

This child is collecting orders for the drinks and will be responsible for making them with a friend.

Today was one of those days which we would have loved to have bottled to keep on a safe shelf for the dark soggy days of Winter. As that is a little tricky this film may have to do instead!

There are days when we arrive at work feeling the overwhelm of life, but every time being outside eases this and puts a spring back in our step. We see this in the children and young people we work with too.

🐞 W H O A R E W E ? 🪲

As primary school teachers we recognised a need to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs…

and we knew that Therapeutic Forest School was part of the solution!

SOPHIE

When not at work I am drawn to being outside in nature, loving nothing more than stomping through woodlands or getting my hands into the earth! Even when inside I have a habit of filling my spaces with plants and flowers!

CAT

I’m happiest outside, exploring woodlands, sea swimming or canoeing on the river. When I’m home, I’m digging in the mud,, growing fruit and vegetables, watching birds and in the winter helping toads cross the roads to the village lake!

🐛 We are both mums ourselves.
🦔 We have over 50 years of teaching experience between us.
🌳 We are experienced at working with children with a range of special education needs.
🍃 We are happy working through every season outside.
