Ashbrook Junior School

A massive "thank you" to the Elm Street Allotment Association for allowing a number of our pupils to visit them this morning and learn all about, "where our food comes from".

Children got to take part in digging up potato's, looking for and identifying bugs and they even got to plant their own seed to grown and plant in the Ashbrook Garden.

What an amazing community we have here at Ashbrook.

This month we have been busy.
We recently held a fantastic "Feed the Family" event in conjunction with Aspens, where children and their families worked together to make a healthy low-cost Chorizo Paella to take home and enjoy together.

A busy, exciting week at Ashbrook!

Exciting times at Ashbrook Junior School, Forest School is making a come back!!🌳

We are so pleased to announce that work has already started on clearing out our Forest School area and children will soon be able to start using the amazing space that Mrs Collins and Max have created.
If you are able to donate any old pots and pans (metal), tyres etc, these will all be very welcomed to go into the forest area.🌳

Watch this space for more details!!

And to make it even more exciting we have our school artist starting with us this week to create even more amazing artwork to be shown around the school. Shamila will be working with all classes to learn about and create a display about sustainability.🎨

Garden Project.🌺
Our gardening project has already started with a very generous donation of compost from Collyers Garden Centre.
If you have any seeds, spare plants that you are able to donate to make our school look brighter and teach our children a new skill, please feel free to drop these off at school.🌺🌻

Thank you again for all your help and support.
