🚍👫 Year 3 and 4 visited The Stone Centre at Wirksworth.

🪨🛘This was an incredible opportunity for them to build upon their learning in Science and History.

🪨🛘 They were able to see actual fossils, explore different types of rock, investigate what makes up soil and of course some exciting panning for gems!

🌳🏞️All while soaking up the Peak District scenery.

🌦️🌳 Pine Lakes 🌳🌦️

Good morning everyone! We made sure everyone had plenty of sleep last night with most children being asleep by 10.30pm and not waking up until 7.30am! 🛌💤😴

Everyone has enjoyed a tasty breakfast of sausages, hash browns and baked beans to make sure they are ready for a day of activities 😋

We are very busy and the signal is not very good at all so we will make sure we post our photos later 📸

👫 It may be Sunday but that doesn’t stop our incredible Year 6 children from coming into school to make the Monday morning start all that bit easier.

👫 The children had the chance to come together and share a McDonalds breakfast to help them prepare for the week ahead.

👫 We wish them lots of luck as they take their SATs this week. They have worked so hard and we know that each and everyone of them will give it their best shot. We couldn’t ask for anything more.

☀️🍃🌳 Forest School 🌳🍃☀️

Year 3 had their turn in Forest school this afternoon. They had good fun exploring the different areas and working with the different resources.

Lots of happy smiles too! 😁

👫Children are able to take part in a range of activities before and after school.

🧁Baking cakes and cookies has been a popular activity over the last couple of weeks!

📚Not only have we got a brand new Reading Shed but we also have a brand new Reading Den!

📚There are plenty of cushions and mats that we can use outside to get comfy with a book.

📚Lots of children enjoyed taking some quiet time in the Reading Den at lunchtime today or shared a book on the cushions outside.
