A reminder to all TRA and JFCS students who have applied to our Sixth Form- on Wednesday 4th March we have our 'Slice and Advice' event where you can join us after school for Dominos pizza and some subject-specific revision tips from our Heads of Department.
If you missed the initial deadline to register your interest, please make sure you RSVP by Monday 2nd so that Ms Iwanczuk can order enough pizza!

Every year our 6th Form students collect items for the Derventio charity, encouraging all students across the school to contribute to their tutor group's expertly wrapped box. We welcome visitors from Derventio in Y13 enrichment time, to learn more about where our donations go, and to help with the collection.

A comment from Derventio:
'We are so humbled and blown away that the school has supported us for 14 amazing years. Christmas is a time for giving, and it's so wonderful that the whole school is thinking of others going through tough time, as well as their family and friends. You are amazing, all of you and the staff, Mrs Taylor and all the 6th Form students who have encouraged every form to take part.

Our Sixth Form students are currently running their annual whole-school initiative to collect essential items to support the local Derventio charity.
We look forward to welcoming in representatives from the charity to collect the boxes and explain more about their work next week, in the Y13 Enrichment session.

We would appreciate any donations from all form groups across the whole school. There are beautifully wrapped boxes in all form rooms to collect your donations.

We took a group of our Y13 students to a workshop today, to help them develop their CV and personal brand, ready for degree apprenticeship applications.

This morning we had an assembly with all of Year 12 and 13 students, to thank them for their hard work this half term and recognise all their contributions to our recent events like Open Evening last week.
Izzy, Amy, Ruby and Milly recently gave up several mornings to help with our 'Tea and Toast' events, where Y11s were invited up to our 6th Form Centre during form time, and were proud to receive their 'You make a difference' badges this morning.

Mrs Stone has done multiple workshops in our Art lessons which has broadened my Art knowledge and encouraged me to use materials that I haven't used before.

In our Product Design A-Level lessons, we have been working on a project using 5 key words selected at random and we have been experimenting using the laser cutter, paint, paper mâché and more.
We have found these lessons very helpful with building our technical and artistic skills, such as using TechSoft to design.
