WHAT a results day 🥹❤️

I’ve had so many lovely messages from students and parents over the last 24 hours and I genuinely couldn’t be prouder.

From predicted 3s becoming 6s and 7s, huge jumps from mock results, those all-important passes, incredible 8s and 9s, and students now choosing to continue English at A Level… every single result has its own story.

But more than the grades, it’s the messages that have got me. Knowing that students felt supported, more confident and proud of what they achieved is the best part of this job.

To every student I taught this year: you did this. You put the work in, kept going when it was hard and should be ridiculously proud of yourselves.

It’s been an absolute privilege to be a tiny part of it. 🥹

GCSE English resit support ✏️

If today’s results weren’t quite what you were hoping for, it doesn’t mean you can’t get there.

I’ll be running a GCSE English Language resit class for students preparing to sit the exam again in November.

The focus will be firmly on the exam: understanding what each question is asking, improving responses, exam technique and making the most of those final few months.

As an experienced English teacher, tutor and GCSE examiner, I know where students commonly lose marks — and, importantly, what they can do to pick them up.

GCSE results day 🥹🤍

I’ve had so many messages today and I’m genuinely SO proud of every single one of you.

Not just for the grades you’ve opened today, but for all the work that went into getting there - the lessons, the practice papers, the moments of doubt and the times you kept going anyway.

One of the hardest things about teaching online is that I don’t get to be there for moments like this. I honestly wish I could celebrate with you all today. 🥂

Whatever was on that piece of paper this morning, it has been such a privilege to be a little part of your journey.
