All praise belongs to Allah, Dominant over his servants, the Wise, the All-Aware. May the most superior, noble, complete and perfect peace and blessings be upon the giver of glad tidings, the warner, our liege-lord Muhammad, upon his lofty family and companions and all those who follow them until the Day of Resurrection.
Indeed, to the best of my ability, I looked into the book entitled ‘Rādd al-Muhannad Ꜥalā al-Nahīq al-Ambhetī al-Mufannad', by the illustrious shaykh, the erudite scholar, Lion of the Ahl al-Sunnah, the accomplished debater, M***i Abū al-Fatḥ, Muhammad Ḥashmat ꜤAlī Khan al-Ḥanafī al-Māturīdī al-Qādirī al-Riḍawī al-Hindi رحمه الله , translated and edited by al-Shaykh al-ꜤAllāmah Abū ꜤĀtikah Azhār Aḥmad al-Amjadī al-Miṣbāhī al-Azharī, graduate of the department of Hadith in the faculty of Usūl al-Dīn at JāmiꜤat al-Azhar (may Allah grant him well being, protect him and benefit the Muslims through him. Indeed, Allah is Most Generous), I found it to be the translation of a scholar of great proficiency in expressing meanings, with coherent arrangement of words and phrases. I ask Allah Most Transcendent to place it in his balance of good deeds on the Day when neither wealth nor offspring will benefit, except he who brings a pure heart in the court of Allah.
Dear reader! Know that I am unable to express the virtues of this book and its author in his expending of effort in careful analysis of the transmitted statements and explanation of the deceptions, more than the author himself has manifested and refuted the doubts and lies upon those who fabricated them. I am in fact spurred on by the hope of becoming affiliated with this illustrious company of the author, the translator and ‘Ḥusām al-Ḥaramayn Ꜥalā Manḥar al-Kufr wa al-Mayn'. So, that I raise my voice with theirs, help to swell their ranks and become part of this most noble support for the truth and its people.
Indeed, the author has excelled and benefited others in this regard and is most certainly of a lofty stature in understanding and explanation. He has arranged this book upon three discourses: general creed, Prophethood, and visitation of the resting places of Prophets عليهم السلامand Saints رحمهم الله and that which is associated with it. On this basis, he has established forty-one chapters in this book.
ꜤAllāmah Abū ꜤĀtikah has excelled in including the names of the prominent scholars who strove in refuting the Wahhābiyyah, Deobandiyyah and Qādiyāniyyah and other deviant sects. He has arranged their mention according to five historical classes and I mention here from amongst them in particular, in the third generation, the gallant Imam, the hadith master, the jurist, Imam Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-JamāꜤah Aḥmad Riḍā Khan عليه رحمة الرحيم الرحمن. The listing of these imams arises from the realisation and belief that the concern of the scholars in every age is to awaken the Muslims to the threat of those who corrupt the beliefs of the believers and divide their ranks. No doubt every just student and reader will be pleased with this glorious documentation that includes the scholars and their refutation of the heretical sects.
Indeed, the deceivers raised objections upon Ḥusām al-Ḥaramayn Ꜥalā Manḥar al-Kufr wa al-Mayn of the gallant Imam, the jurist, the Mujaddid, Imam Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-JamāꜤah, Aḥmad Riḍā Khan عليه رحمة الرحيم الرحمن and brought accusations against him that they themselves were actually deserving of. So, it was necessary that a scholar enter the battle field who knows how to debate, a formidable knight versed in combat. Therefore, he raised Ḥusām al-Ḥaramayn (the Sword of the two Holy Sanctuaries) against the false al-Muhannad (blade) and confuted it. So, praise be to Allah, al-Muhannad was shattered.
In closing, I supplicate to Allah Almighty, Most High, Most Transcendent, that He strengthen the Muslims and bring them together on the clear truth, there is no might and no power except with Allah, Most High, Most Transcendent and may the peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon our liege-lord Muhammad, his family and all his companions.

Alhamdulillah! This new project is a long time dream coming to fruition, it is a website dedicated to Alahazrat Imam Ahmad Rida Khan, the mujaddid and reviver of the ummah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam of the fourteenth century Hijri from India.

The grand Imam of ahlus sunnah, al-Imam Shah Ahmed Rida Khan al Baraylawis knowledge, works, exegesis, fatawa, poetry and spiritual treatises form a vast corpus of Islamic literature; this treasure is not only magnificently majestic but is also intimidatingly deep as an ocean.

Comprehending and explaining most of this is beyond the reach of present day urdu standards, or even madarsa grade arabic of today's scholars.

The main objective of this website is to serve as a singular and comprehensive resource for all the works related to Alahazrat, in a well-organized manner. This repository, it is hoped, will be immensely useful for researchers, writers, and in general, anyone who wishes to pursue Ridawi Studies or explore Ridawi Literature.

Alahazrat was a prolific writer and the volume of his work is rivalled only by the exceptionally high quality of his work, the breadth of topics that he covers touching multiple discplines, the amount of content and the depth of his insight. Most scholars in latter times (at least in the past 400 years), have written mostly on topics that have been discussed by past Imams and have references in earlier works. Alahazrat's wizardry lies in his uncanny ability to produce works and collect references for issues that may not have precedents - or when there were precedents, these issues were either mentioned merely in passing or had not received a polemical treatment. Alahazrat marshalls hundreds of references - and in many cases from such ahadith and articles of law (masa'yil) that even a seasoned m***i or a hadith scholar would not have thought of; and the strength of his argument is legendary. It would not be an exaggeration if Alahazrat is called the Abu Hanifah of his age, for he was a reflection of that Supreme Imam (Imam A'azam) - and his diligent follower - in his copious erudition, his critical insight into matters, his logical acumen, his irrepressible zeal to defend the religion and the exceptionally high standards of piety in his personal affairs.

It was only natural that a vast body of work of such a versatile genius should give rise to critical studies on his corpus of works - commentaries, analyses and comparative readings. Until the digital revolution ushered in the trend of PDFs - most of these books were found in personal libraries of ulama specialising in Ridawi Studies (Rizwiyyaat) and except for a few popular titles, most were out of print. A common student/scholar could not hope to buy or borrow these books. Scholars like Mawlana Sayyid Masud Ahmad, Mawlana Abdul Hakim Sharaf, Mawlana Sayyid Raees and others compiled volumes such as Aayinah-e-Rizwiyyaat and Ma'arif e Raza to introduce these works generally grouped as 'Rizwiyyaat'.

Almost all of these works are available on the internet, archived and scattered on various websites - scribd, archive.org and many other sites. The major problem hitherto was they were not collected, collated and made available as organized content. Ridawi.org seeks to fill this gap, bringing this massive treasure of work to Sunni ulama and populace with just a few clicks, in sha Allah.

Most of what is translated analysed, simplified and available in English of the works and about alahazrat alayhi rahmatu wa riDwan is but a glimpse of the accessible sunlight zones of his ocean of knowledge.

Availability of the original work of Alahazrat is a welcome delight for any seeker of islamic knowledge, however, only the learned scholars of the ummah, equipped with linguistic acumen and flair across the Islamic sciences and languages, who are well versed in the sciences of kalam, fiqh, hadith, tafsir, can fully understand the nuances and intricacies and are fortunate enough to experience the bewildering genius that was Alahazrat .

Not only tafaqquh of the deen, but the mere linguistic skills needed to traverse the different pelagic zones of this ocean of Alahazrat's knowledge , and present its treasures to the English audience, is an ask that only a handful of people in the world are qualified to undertake.

The fact that this has been undertaken by Shaykh Abu Hasan Ridawi is a gladsome breeze of joy for the admirers of Alahazrat and the ummah, The Shaykh has immersed himself in Alahazrat and his works over the last twenty years and will in sha Allah, uncover, elucidate, translate and open to the public little known facets of the works and the impact of alahazrat on Islam today. Allah azza wa jall has granted the Shaykh acumen in these very skills, as if he were prepared over years to this noble task. alhamdulillah.

The ilm of Alahazrat and its benefit has and in sha Allah will outlast the fitnahs of the imams time, eons after the schisms of Alahazrat’s detractors and their misguided rebuttals wither away, the ummah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam will in sha Allah still bask in the light of Alahazrat’s knowledge, may Allah azza wa jall elevate his ranks for the sake of His beloved Habib sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam.

We pray that this resource serves as a lightpost, a compass and a guide in this city of knowledge that Alahazrat has left for the ummah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam. We hope and pray that by the mercy of Allah azza wa jall, for the sake of His beloved Habib, that this resource will grow and develop into something the coming generations can benefit from in sha Allah

Endorsement of Majmū Rasā'il al-Shaykh Ilyās al-Attār

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

All praise belongs to Allāh تعالى Lord of all the worlds. We praise you O Allāh with all your praises, those we know and those we do not know and we thank you with the thanking of one whom You have covered with Your grace and surrounded with Your bounty. We cannot encompass your praise. You are as You have praised Yourself. Fortified is he who takes refuge in You and magnificent is Your praise. We send peace and blessings on our master Muhammad the one sent as mercy for all of creation, such a salawāt by which difficult matters are unravelled and hardships are eased and rain is sought from the clouds through his noble countenance and may peace and blessings also be upon his family and his companions, in every moment and every breath by the number of all things known by You.

To proceed,

I became aware of the book titled al Rasā'il by the erudite scholar Amīr Ahl al-Sunnah, the prominent caller to Allāh, the one striving in the propagation of this upright Religion, inheritor of the knowledge of the Prophets and Messengers عليهم السلام , the one who has joined between the Divine Law and Spiritual Gnosis, Muhammad Ilyās al-Attār al-Qādirī حفظه الله تعالى, may Allāh prolong his life and place blessing in his actions, his earnestness and his striving and benefit by him Islām and the Muslims. May Allāh enable us to gain from his blessings and the blessings of his teachers by the intermediation of the Noble Prophet ﷺ and all the righteous servants of Allāh. My study of these treatises was according to my ability and I found the Shaykh to have been proficient and to have imparted benefit, excelled and sent forth provision for the Day of Judgement. He concluded with his piercing insight that this field requires effort which necessitates the undertaking of effort in authoring these twelve treatises and thus he fulfilled that requirement. He assigned a particular perspective from the perspectives of da'wah for each of his treatises and filled them with such Prophetic etiquettes that captivate the reader such that he is compelled to continue in his reading. The reader finds in these treatises sweetness in wording, beauty in presentation, connectivity in phrasing and fluidity of style in explaining the words of the Prophet's ﷺ Ahādīth that attracts the soul so that a listener gives his full attention and presence of mind. His undertaking of the compiling of these treatises was an inspiration from Allāh تعالى such that he organised them in this way and placed in them that which a carrier of the Da'wah to Allāh requires in every age in terms of nurturing good character and rectifying the soul. There is no doubt that these treatises bear the marks of knowledge and guidance. Everyone who has a connection with Dawate Islami knows the reality of that. That Dawate Islami which was established upon taqwā from it’s first day, which is a cause of guidance and rectification, calling to Allāh تعالى with wisdom and good preaching, connecting the seekers in their circles and teaching them with the most successful means of training, whose success has been by the love of Allāh تعالى and His Messenger ﷺ and has been the cause of the purification of hearts and uprightness of character. Dawate Islami has not succeeded to this amazing extent except by the love that the Prophet ﷺ sowed in the hearts of the Muhajirūn and the Ansār and the character that the believers were raised upon. The prominent caller to Allāh, the Shaykh Muhammad Ilyās al-Attār al-Qādirī حفظه الله تعالى may Allāh تعالى benefit Islām and the Muslims by him, took upon himself the inclusion of all this in these treatises, with a captivating style and distinguished presentation, connecting the reader and listener with the love of Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ and encouraging them towards purifying the self, rectifying their character and cleansing Islamic Society from lowly characteristics. Each of these treatises carries a cure by which the individual and society can treat itself and important lessons that both the beginner and the advanced student require for the illumination of the path in propagating Islām and an important cure for the diseases that have threatened to destroy the Islamic character, values and principles that Islām is established upon. In closing I ask Allāh تعالى, the Most Great, the Most Generous, that he place all that Shaykh Muhammad Ilyās al-Attār al-Qādirī has presented in service to Islām and the Muslims in his scale of good deeds and make it a stored treasure for him on the day when neither wealth nor children will be of benefit except he who came in the court of Allāh with a sound heart. May the peace and blessings of Allāh be upon our Master Muhammad, his family and all his companions.
