🌟 Talk Boost Success! 🌟

We are so proud of the incredible progress our children are making through our Talk Boost sessions! πŸ’¬βœ¨

The children are always excited to take part and arrive at the sessions with huge smiles and enthusiasm. It has been wonderful to watch their confidence grow week by week as they develop their communication, listening, and language skills.

One of the most amazing things we have noticed is how the children are beginning to create their own group times during free play.

They love pretending to be teachers, gathering their friends together, asking questions, leading discussions, and sharing stories. πŸ“šπŸ‘©β€πŸ«πŸ‘¨β€πŸ«

These role-play experiences show just how much confidence they are gaining and how they are applying the skills they have learned in meaningful ways throughout their day.

Watching them find their voices, express their ideas, and support one another has been truly heartwarming.

Well done to all of our wonderful Talk Boost children – we are so proud of you! 🌈⭐

πŸπŸ“ Exploring New Tastes! 🍊πŸ₯

Our children enjoyed a trip to the local shop to choose some fruits they had never tasted before.

This exciting experience encouraged them to explore different foods, make choices, and learn about healthy eating in a real-life environment.

The children carefully selected a variety of fruits, discussing their colours, shapes, and textures before bringing them back to nursery for a special tasting session.

There were lots of curious faces, brave first bites, and wonderful conversations about which fruits they liked best!

Experiences like these help to develop children's confidence, independence, communication skills, and willingness to try new things.

We are so proud of how adventurous everyone was today! 🌟

What a fantastic day of learning, discovery, and healthy eating! πŸ‡πŸπŸŽπŸŒ

🌿 The Importance of a Nature Walk 🌿

The children enjoyed a wonderful nature walk, exploring the world around them and connecting with the outdoors.

Nature walks provide so many valuable learning opportunities. They encourage children to be active, develop their observation skills, and spark curiosity about the environment.

As they listen to birds singing, feel different textures, spot insects, and observe changes in the seasons, children are engaging all of their senses and building a deeper understanding of the natural world.

Spending time outdoors also supports children's wellbeing, helping them to feel calm, confident, and connected to their surroundings.

It promotes communication, teamwork, and imaginative thinking as they share their discoveries with friends.

Every walk is an adventure, and today was filled with exploration, learning, and lots of smiles! πŸƒπŸ‚πŸž

🌼 Bridging Generations Through Friendship 🌼

There’s something so special about the young and the old spending time together πŸ’›

The children absolutely love visiting their friends at Kiwi House Care Home β€” and they even remembered all of their names! This week they enjoyed painting plant pots together, creating lots of smiles and lovely memories along the way.

There were definitely a few funny moments too β€” especially when the children decided to help paint the residents’ hands instead of just the plant pots! πŸ˜‚

We’ve also arranged for the residents to visit us at nursery, where we’ll be filling the pots with soil and planting Forget-Me-Not seeds in support of Dementia Week 🌼

Moments like these are truly priceless.

🌟 At Osmaston Day Nursery, we believe in teaching children important values and life skills from a young age. Today, our little ones put their learning into action by helping our community! πŸ’š

We took the children out to the front of the nursery to support our Family Hub and keep our surroundings tidy. Armed with gloves and litter pickers, they worked together as a team, carefully searching for and collecting litter.

It was amazing to see them cooperating, taking pride in their work, and understanding the importance of caring for the world around them.

Small hands can make a big difference! 🌍✨

🌍✨ Throwback to Earth Day! Our preschool children had a fantastic time getting creative and learning about our planet.

They were busy shaping the Earth out of play dough, exploring colors, textures, and the idea of taking care of our world.

It was wonderful to see their little hands at work, their imaginations in full swing, and their excitement as they proudly showed off their creations.

A fun and hands-on way to celebrate our amazing planet! πŸ’šπŸ’™
