Saddleworth Language School was established in 2023 to fulfil a lifelong ambition to make foreign languages accessible to all - Be that pre-schoolers or the elderly! Saddleworth Language School runs summer schools for primary age children in the Saddleworth area that focus on culture appreciation, craft, fun, games, language acquisition and development as well as enjoying sports. The summer school

is run by two qualified teachers with specialisms in MFL and PE who both have enhanced DBS checks and are fully insured. Summer school sessions will likely begin at 9 and end at 4, but more details will follow very soon. Saddleworth Language School also offers private one to one tuition for those who wish to pursue learning French, German or Spanish to the next level. Tuition can focus on learning to speak for travel and tourism, communication with family and friends or developing GCSE and A Level competence. Lessons are usually one hour long but can be tailored to meet your exact requirement. Saddleworth Language School will launch pre-school parent and child language learning classes in small groups from September 2023. The classes will use song, craft, drama and imagination to bring learning a new language to life for children. More details on days, times, venue and cost to follow.

I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, but that’s just because we’ve been running at full speed making amazing summer memories 💫

It’s been incredible to see so many children getting stuck into languages, sports, crafts and play.

⭐️Our first ever week of 40+ children & 4 staff per day!

Wow! We’ve come a long way in 3 years and I’m so grateful to the children and parents who’ve been with us since the beginning, who return holiday after holiday and who are giving us a go for the first time!

We’ve got off to a brilliant start and already cannot wait for the next three weeks of LingoSports.

The juggle is real and truly hard work - from a parent of a 2 (3 in 2 days 🥹) and 5 year old who seem to be constantly off nursery or school ill at the moment 🙃 juggling work, childcare and sickness 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve always been fortunate that as a teacher I’ve never had to find childcare for those 13 weeks of school holidays, but I couldn’t ever work out what people with ‘normal’ jobs did! Until my friends had children and I really appreciated my privilege as a teacher-parent.

So it seemed obvious to me that a holiday club that I would actually REALLY want to send my children to would work. And it does 😊

Lingostars combines the passion and skill set of me & Andy (my husband) - languages, PE, teaching and working with the most fun & inspiring people (the children!) and we get to bring our son too! Talking of Charlie, he genuinely cried at the end of the summer holidays because Lingostars was over 🥰

We welcomed the most children ever in August & we’d love to continue to support parents who HAVE to work in the holidays & who want a QUALITY option in which their children are PHYSICALLY ACTIVE and MENTALLY STIMULATED. Safe in the knowledge that your children are being looked after by experienced, caring professionals. If that’s what you need, then look no further. And of course, if you just need a break and the kids need a break from you then that’s fine too!
