During British Science Week, children explored exciting science activities that filled them with awe and wonder.

They have experimented and observed so many exciting things. From creating sensory bottles, to watching fizzy explosions or playing with sensory foil.

These activities helped children feel amazed by science. By exploring and investigating, they learned that science is all about curiosity, creativity, and discovering new things every day. 🔬✨

February has been an amazing month❤️!

We celebrated Chinese New Year by decorating beautiful lanterns and learning about different traditions, and for Valentine’s Day the children created lovely cards and pictures for their loved ones. We also enjoyed baking delicious cakes, visiting the park, and spending lots of time playing, learning, and exploring together. Throughout the month, the children developed their creativity through arts and crafts, built confidence and social skills during group play, strengthened their communication and language through storytelling and conversations. We practised fine and gross motor skills through hands-on activities and outdoor adventures. So many smiles, discoveries, and special moments — we can’t wait to see what next month brings! 🌟

Wow, what an amazing January we have had!!!!
We’ve welcomed lots of lovely new friends, and of course Jess, to our setting! 🏠 ❄️ 👧🏻👦🏽

This month has been full of fun and laughter. We’ve enjoyed baking cakes and helping to make our own snack, which helps develop early maths skills, following instructions, and building confidence. 🧁 🍕

We’ve been on lovely walks which support physical development, encourage curiosity, and promote wellbeing through fresh air and exercise. 🌳 🛝

The children had great fun during messy play days, helping to support sensory development, creativity, and confidence in exploring new textures.
We created lots of beautiful artwork for our families which supports our creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression 🫟 🎨

We’ve also loved pretending to be pirates were we walked the plank!!!!🏴‍☠️ focusing on under the sea and in the jungle helping to build knowledge of the world, language development, and curiosity about different environments and animals.🐯 🐠

During circle time we’ve been learning about colours, shapes, and the days of the week, helping to support early learning, communication, and understanding of routines. We’ve also sung lots of songs together which helps with memory, listening skills, rhythm, and language development. 🟪🟨🟩

We’ve enjoyed plenty of dancing and being silly, which helps build confidence, coordination, and supports emotional wellbeing. 🕺 🕺 🕺

But most importantly, we’ve made lots of wonderful memories and friendships along the way.

We are very excited to see what February brings!

Love,
Sharon, Matt and Jess❤️
