A huge thank you to the organisers of the Tockholes Barn Bash for such a wonderful evening. Bringing together not only our school and village communities, but the wider local area too.
The atmosphere was truly lovely, giving everyone the opportunity to relax, spend time with friends and enjoy the live music.
We are incredibly grateful to our parents for all their hard work in putting this event together to raise funds for our school. We can’t wait to hear what the children think we should spend the funds on – we know they’ll have some fantastic ideas! 💡
We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did!

🤠🎶 1 DAY TO GO! 🎶🤠
Barn Bashers - The countdown is nearly over, Tockholes Barn Bash is tomorrow and we cannot wait to welcome you all for what should be an amazing evening in the barn.
Doors open at 5:30pm, with our first act starting at 6:30pm, and trust us, you do not want to miss the brilliant Emily J Clark - Vocalist and performer kicking things off.
Expect live music, food, drinks, real ale, dancing, a proper rustic barn atmosphere and, quite possibly, a few questionable cowboy moves by the end of the night.
A few useful bits before you saddle up:
📍 Location
The event is being held at New Barn Farm, just off Tockholes Road in Tockholes.
The entrance to the farm path is 500 yards beyond The Royal Arms - Tockholes and Roddlesworth Car Park, heading out towards Belmont.
Here is a Google maps link to the entrance to the farm from Tockholes Road:-

🚗 Parking
Car parking is available on the field along the farm track. Please follow any signs and instructions when you arrive.
👢 What to wear
This is a farm/barn setting, so please dress appropriately. Sensible footwear is strongly recommended, especially as there may be uneven ground.
Cowgirl and cowboy gear is very much encouraged, hats, boots, checked shirts, denim, the lot. Just remember it may get a little cooler as the evening goes on, so it’s worth bringing something warm such as a jacket, hoodie, fleece, gilet or blanket scarf.
🪑 Seating
We’ll have some benches and hay bales available, but you’re welcome to bring your own camping-style chairs. Please make sure you take them home with you afterwards, as we cannot be responsible for any items left behind.
💷 Cash preferred
We’d really appreciate people bringing cash where possible. Card machines will be available, but card payments do attract transaction fees, which means a little less goes towards the fundraising total.
⚠️ A quick note about the setting
As with any event of this type, there may be uneven ground, louder music, busy areas and the usual risks that come with a farm/barn environment. Please take care, look after your group, and children must be supervised by their responsible adult at all times. Attendance is at your own risk.
🚕 Getting home
The event finishes at midnight, so please try to book your taxis or lifts home early to avoid waiting around at the end of the night.
We’re so excited to see everyone and can’t wait for a brilliant evening of music, dancing, drinks and community spirit.
See you in the barn! 🎶🍻🤠

A severe allergic reaction can develop quickly, so knowing what to do in an emergency is essential.
This week’s guide gives parents, carers and educators a clear overview of adrenaline devices, including EpiPen, Jext and nasal adrenaline.
The guide covers:
• Symptoms affecting the airway, breathing and circulation
• How different adrenaline devices are used
• Why the patient should lie down and remain still
• The importance of calling 999
• Why two devices should always be carried
It also reinforces a vital message: using adrenaline promptly is always better than waiting.

Water Park Trip – EYFS & KS1
Our EYFS and KS1 children had a fantastic time during their visit to Water Park Adventure Centre before half term. The day was filled with exciting activities, including canoeing sessions, water play, and adventurous climbing, where children scaled a tree before bravely jumping and swinging down.
The children demonstrated great enthusiasm, resilience, and teamwork throughout the day, making the most of every opportunity. It was a truly memorable experience, and a wonderful time was had by all.
