Our daughter, Autumn, has Spina Bifida. In August 2023 we had fetalscopic surgery at 27 weeks gestation. She is now nearly 3 years old.
We are based in the U.K and are sharing our journey to help others.
Hyper child this evening after a really busy, but lovely day. Autumn is trying so hard to run. You can hear her at the end saying 'I'm a good runner'. 🥰.
A visit to the zoo with Mummy Granny and Grandad.
Today Andy took us to the Big Cat Fest for our anniversary. It was a magnificent day. Saw lots of big cats, very accessible and very friendly staff. Overall a fantastic day.
We are so lucky that Autumn sleeps soundly though the night, but getting to sleep is challenging at the moment. Andy and I have always taken her to bed on alternate nights. Very rigid routine. But now she's fighting every bit of sleep. You can see she's exhausted, but still, she fights the sleep. Bedtime is between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, and sometimes, recently we have been trying to get her asleep gone 10pm. But tonight, she was falling asleep in the high chair while she was eating her dinner. 🥰🤣😴
Milestone Monday. Another skill unlocked. Autumn walked upstairs for the first time tonight holding onto just the banister with one hand.

Last week, we got up early and went to surprise Granny and Grandad at Parkrun. We even arrived before Granny did. Autumn had lots of fun playing in the park with no one else about. She also walked a little bit of the course with Granny.
