📚 The right level of support for your child.
At First Class Learning, we offer two different tuition options to suit different needs.
🌟 Small Group Tuition
Our most popular option is small group tuition, where a tutor typically supports around 4 students within a 2-hour session, although numbers can vary depending on the needs of the students attending and the dynamics of the group.
Small group tuition doesn’t mean every child is doing the same work. Each student works on their own tailored programme, based on their individual ability, needs and goals.
Programmes are carefully planned around the student’s individual needs, the National Curriculum and, where applicable, the relevant exam specification they are studying.
The level of individual attention is significantly greater than is often possible within a typical classroom environment. Tutors are able to work closely with each student, providing 1:1 support, while also encouraging them to develop confidence, independence and responsibility for their own learning — important skills that support them both inside and outside the classroom.
Students can also work in the way they feel most comfortable. They may be seated alongside students of a similar age or more independently if they prefer. We want students to feel comfortable, confident and able to focus on their learning.
👤 1:1 Tutorials
For students who would benefit from a more intensive level of support, we also offer 1:1 tutorials.
This is exactly as it sounds — one tutor working with one student for a dedicated session, allowing the tutor to focus entirely on that individual student throughout the session.
