As part of our work this term on the Victorians, we decided to celebrate with a traditional afternoon tea. The class worked as a team, with the help of Mrs Doherty, to make shortbread biscuits, Victorian sponge cakes, scones and bread. Photos of the actual afternoon tea to follow shortly so watch this space!

The Junior Forest School trip included a walk around the lake, where we will stop for a picnic lunch and enjoy the views of the surrounding fells and lake. The weather was warm and sunny sometimes a little cloudy, there was also an opportunity for pupils to paddle in the lake and relax by the shore before returning to school.

Last Friday the year 7/8 forest schoolers went on a day trip to Buttermere in the Lake District National Park. The day started with a lovely walk along the lake shore from the village to Gatesgarth farm. We then decided to take the path uphill to Warnscale bothy where we stopped for lunch and admired the view. It was a big achievement for everyone! On our walk back we stopped for a well-earned ice-cream. A great day was had by all!
