Today the children engaged in a lovely role-play activity using their imagination and

creativity. The girls expressed interest in working with children when they are older, so we created a fun “childcare assistant interview” role-play.

Using the dolly babies as the children they would care for, the girls took turns being interviewed about why they would be suitable for the role. One child helped conduct the interviews while the others answered questions about how they would look after the babies and keep them safe and happy.

The children showed great enthusiasm and confidence while speaking about their ideas. They used their imagination well during the role-play and demonstrated kindness and nurturing behaviour towards the dolls. There was lots of laughter and enjoyment throughout the activity.

It was wonderful to see the children working together, sharing ideas and showing such enthusiasm for caring for others.
