Is your voice being heard?
School surveys typically receive a 30% response rate from parents. To better meet the needs of you and your child, we need your voice in the mix.
Please complete the Parentkind Parenting Language survey before it closes on 11th May. Everyone benefits when we work together.

On Tuesday 21st April DBJA was visited by an Inclusion Quality Mark Assessor for our yearly Flagship School Status review. I am thrilled to say that after a rigorous day of activities and observations, we remain a Flagship School!
The Assessor said of our school…
‘By the end of the day, what stood out most was the consistency of the school’s vision. The school feels like a community where routines are lived, relationships are strong and inclusion is a day-to day practice. The pupils are articulate and enthusiastic, and the school environment celebrates learning, community, and sustainability.'

AT DBJA WE CARE!
On Wednesday 29th April 2026, staff and children from our Pupil Voice Teams took action! Along with our links in the LBBD Waste and Recycling Team, and as part of the Great British Spring Clean Litter Pick, they picked up litter around our area to make our community a better place! We are so proud of them!

On Friday 6th March, we will be celebrating Year 4's Geography topic of Spectacular Spain. To celebrate this day, children in Year 4 can dress in red and yellow or they can wear the football kits of teams in Spain. Children will also celebrate Spanish Day by learning about Spain's geography and culture.
Please note that if your child does not wear red, yellow or a Spanish football kit, they are required to wear their school uniform.

Today DBJA has been 'going all in' for World Book Day as part of the National Year of Reading! Reading for pleasure supports our emotions, ideas and identities. It's a great way to relax and unwind, and gives us time to escape into different worlds and learn new things. Pick up a book today, and remember... 'The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.' — Dr. Seuss
Well done to all for a wonderful World Book Day !
