💛☀️As we come to the end of another busy and wonderful year, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to all my lovely families for your trust, support and kindness. I am always so touched by how thoughtful you are, but what makes these gestures especially precious is that they often come from the children, too.😍

This year we are saying good bye to one of the boys. He brought me a sunflower in a pot that he chose from among so many beautiful flowers at the shop, because he remembered that we had planted sunflowers from seeds and that sunflowers are my favourite. 🌻 Moments like this truly melt my heart and remind me how lucky I am to do what I do.

☀️ Summer is in full swing! ☀️

We have been keeping cool with lots of sensory fun — splashing in water, blowing bubbles, counting rubber ducks and seashells (one of our favourite activities recently, surprise, surprise!!!) , exploring sand and lentils, scooping, pouring, painitng, mixing and getting wonderfully wet and messy! We don`t forget about our little ponny friends nearby bringing them yummy carrots from time to time. We have also fun in our garden, piciking tiney fruit and veggies that we have grown this year by ourselves, hurray! On Wednesdays we exploreour beautiful Stoneford Community Garden! We As we come towards the end of another busy term, we are making the most of these sunny days before our well-deserved summer break. ☀️💛☀️

A series of little celebrations have been happening at our home nursery lately! 🎉🎂 We’ve celebrated some very special birthdays — 2, 3 and even 9! 🥳💛 Lots of smiles, singing, treats and happy memories made together. Wishing our birthday stars a wonderful year ahead! 🌟🎈

After what felt like the longest three weeks ever, my QA report finally arrived yesterday... 💫

The wait was worth it, though, because my home nursery has been awarded Outstanding for the third time in a row! 💛
I couldn't be prouder. Thank you to all the amazing children who make every day an adventure, and to the wonderful families who trust me with their little ones. Your support means the world to me. 🧡

Culture Day at Beam Parklands 🌿🌳🎋

We had a truly special and memorable day learning about Ramadan, as our lovely neighbours joined us to share their culture and traditions. The children listened with great interest and were delighted to taste a variety of homemade treats like sheer khorma, jalebi, coconut ladoo, carrot mithai, samosa, spring rolls, and even dates brought all the way from Medina! Thank you very much for this special treat!

The session ended beautifully with henna designs on the girls’ hands, and one child shared she had been waiting for this day all week. To finish, we gifted our guests Easter cookies made and decorated by the children — a lovely way to celebrate together before the holiday break.

I have recently had such an inspiring time at the Childcare & Education Expo 2026! ✨

One of the highlights was attending “The Wonder of Words: Lightning the Spark of Language and Literacy” with Michael Rosen — absolutely brilliant. I was so inspired that I bought his books for every child in my setting… and yes, queued 70 minutes for his autograph — totally worth it!

I also loved “Beyond Behaviour: The Power of Connection in Early Years” by Marc James from tiney and his guests — such powerful reminders about the importance of connection in what we do every day.

I’m coming back full of ideas, inspiration, and fresh motivation from all the amazing stalls and conversations with fellow professionals. Can’t wait to bring it all into my setting! 💛
