Sure, your little one gets so much from it. The bonding, the development, the techniques that genuinely help with sleep and digestion. All of that is real and we love it 🤍

But if we are being honest, Baby Massage is just as much for you aswell as your baby ✨🫶🏼

It’s a proper reason to get out of the house in those early weeks. A warm room, a familiar face and an hour where nobody needs anything from you except to just be present with your baby.

We hear it every single course without fail. Mums walking in not quite knowing what to expect and leaving feeling like they’ve found their people 🌱

We do love that by week 2 we are already discussing birth stories and how some partners might not be being their most helpful selves 👀🤭 but this is by no means a necessity!

Next course taking place in November which will be our final one before the new year 📅

The first of our Christmas sessions is here and we cannot keep it to ourselves any longer 🎄✨

📖 Join us as we take the most iconic moments from the classic Christmas Eve story and bring them to life through our Little Roots Christmas special — the snow, the sleigh bells, the magic of that night, all woven into the most sensory, festive class we have ever created ✨

Every moment of the story becomes something your little one can see, touch, hear and feel. This is not your average Christmas baby class. This is something really special 🤍

A little Friday round up of a most blissful week so far 💆🏼‍♀️🛌🍿

A Little Roots first for us aswell with our Friday Seedling 1&2 completely FULL for the first time since we launched the class. It only took us a couple of months 😅🤭 but we are acknowledging the small wins 💪

Thank you for joining us and having the most fanciest pyjama party with us and all of your little friends 😍

Let us tell you how our Monday morning went… all before our first class even started at 10:30am 👀🤣

El is currently living out of boxes after moving house on Sunday, and after a busy weekend, getting two kids up and ready for nursery was where things started to go wrong.

At 8am, my phone rang…

It was El, in FLOODS of tears. 😭

While strapping the kids into her mum’s car for the nursery run, she’d put her phone on the roof of the car… and off it went on a little trip to Cwmbran. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Plot twist: the phone was later discovered STILL ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR. 😅🤣

Meanwhile, things weren’t exactly going smoothly in my house either…

Thanks to an argument over a water bottle — because Cooper had to borrow Lottie’s as his was still in Daddy’s car — there were more tears and bottles being thrown. Lottie and Cooper missed breakfast club, all while I was trying to reassure El through her morning meltdown.

Eventually, with the kids sorted, I picked up El’s phone and set off for the hall, hoping for a quiet 10 minutes.

Until I got all the way to Pontypool and remembered I’d left our brand-new light wands AND the cucumber we needed for class sitting on my kitchen counter. 🙃

Back home I went!

By the time I made it back to the hall and El had managed to pull herself together, we had just 45 minutes to get everything set up for a full day of classes. 🤯

And somehow… we did it.

Because that’s what we do.

As women, as mums and as business owners, sometimes there’s absolute chaos happening behind the scenes that nobody ever sees. But we pulled ourselves together, got that room ready and welcomed everyone through the doors like our morning hadn’t been completely unhinged. 🤣

And the funny thing is, coming to classes has genuinely become our escape.

Little Roots started as our little passion project, but somewhere along the way, it’s become so much more than that. It’s becoming a career path that we absolutely love and genuinely want to stick with. 🥹🌱

And then, during our Seedling 2 class, we got some news that is right up there with our biggest Little Roots highlights to date…

✨ WE’VE BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR START-UP BUSINESS OF THE YEAR! ✨

To find out that this year’s awards received a record number of entries from businesses across Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent… and then there’s US?! Little old Steph and El, about to be rubbing shoulders with all these incredible businesses and big names. 🤭🥹

It honestly feels a little bit surreal.

Winners are announced at a fancy black-tie event on 26th November… so at least that’s the Little Roots Christmas party sorted! 🤣🥂

From crying over phones travelling around Cwmbran on car roofs at 8am to finding out we’re award finalists just a few hours later…

What a bloody Monday. 😂🌱✨
