Thank you to the lovely for this video was so good to wander on the beach with you and share more on all the delicious seaweeds in the East Neuk.
As you may expect World Oceans Day is a busy time for me, and this year I was lucky to support three different schools to learn more about seaweed. Hopefully it made a splash there!
I also participated in a wonderful day in Newburgh. It was put together by Cally Nurse seaweed artist extraordinare.
if I could ask people one thing, it would be to make sure you sign the petition ahead of them taking it to parliament on the 23rd of this month. It is such an important campaign for our future oceans, health, and of course planetary health. Link in my bio !
Thanks to these words from Emily Get • This week it was World Ocean Day, and so in celebration join me on the beach getting some foraging tips from Jayson Byles of

He is an avid member of the Our Seas Coalition ( ) and The Association of Foragers ( ). I highly recommend checking out both of these groups and seeing whether you can get involved 🙂

Thank you for an amazing day yesterday ❤️
Get • 🌊🌿 What an absolutely incredible day coastal foraging in Fife today!
Spent the day with Jayson from and came away with so much knowledge and appreciation for the incredible world of seaweed. His depth of understanding around the different species, their uses, and the vital role they play within our tidal ecosystems was fascinating — a real wealth of knowledge.
There’s something special about slowing down, tuning into the coastline, and seeing nature through a completely different lens. 🌊🍃
To top it all off, we finished the day with an amazing foraged meal, packed full of the flavours we’d been learning about — absolutely delicious! 🍽️✨
A brilliant reminder of how reconnecting with nature can ground you, inspire you, and leave you feeling completely recharged.
Already looking forward to the next adventure! 🌿💚

Get • Drama spilling over from Te Pāti Māori on to the pā at Waitangi has left senior figures in te ao Māori frustrated, with some calling it “the last straw” and pushing for a leadership clean-out.
And David Seymour briefly became the focus of the dawn service at Te Whare Rūnanga Marae, when he was booed to the point the bishop intervened to call for calm.
But after the politicians left, the sun came out and kai filled tables, letting the real celebration of New Zealand’s national day get under way.

I’m now in Namibia, and we’re ( my son and I ) are heading out to a heritage village to begin a two-week journey supporting the Jul’hoansi community as they build a new shelter one that will help sustain their plans and resilience for the future.
It’s incredible to be part of this work in one of the most challenging yet beautiful landscapes on earth.
Find out more and donate to support the project at www.heritage-village.com and see you soon.

Feeling super blessed and grateful to be spending time with contemporary Maori artist next week.
I am really looking forward to being immersed in Maori Tikanga thru the practise of weaving with Harakeke.
In preparation I spent the day connecting with two Harakeke that live locally.
In return for a harvest I gave them a nice clean up which was well overdue.
So good for my Wairua to connect!
