Weโre kicking off a new 3-part speaker series on sports science with Dr Lesley Ingram-Sills and Dr Mykolas Kavaliauskas!
October 1st, the topic is โWhat actually makes you fitter โ the principles of endurance trainingโ. You train- but what actually makes you fitter, faster and able to go further? We'll cut through the hype and reveal what really drives endurance performance.
Free entry, all are welcome - no sign up required!
And mark your calendars - Lesley and Mykolas will be back on November 5th and December 3rd too with more sports science knowledge to share!
Mykolas is a Lecturer in Sports Performance at the University of the West of Scotland. He channels his passion into sports science research and its practical applications rather than his own performance
Lesley is an Associate Professor at Edinburgh Napier University, a former World Cup cross-country MTB racer, endurance obsessive and cycling researcher. She loves bikes, getting people fitter, and talking about why training actually works. Despite regularly being spotted drinking b**r at the Howe, it turns out she has a proper job โ who knew?
