When I first started Future Hair Artists, I never imagined we’d have 54 young people joining us this July.
It’s amazing to see so many children wanting to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends and experience what it’s really like to work in a salon.
These classes have become about so much more than hairdressing. They’re about helping young people discover what they’re capable of in a safe, supportive environment.
We now have just 6 spaces remaining across our July 6-week programmes.
If your child is aged 9–16 and has an interest in hair, creativity or simply wants to grow in confidence this summer, we’d love to welcome them.

I’m so excited to announce that for our Advanced Future Hair Artists programme, we have a very special guest speaker joining our amazing group of boys and girls…
Amanda, better known as Mrs Brain Trainer. ✨
People often think Future Hair Artists is just about teaching young people hairdressing skills.
It’s not.
Yes, we teach shampooing, blow-drying, styling and salon skills, but what I’m really passionate about is helping young people build confidence, believe in themselves and realise what they’re capable of.
Because the truth is, so many young people are held back by those little voices in their heads telling them they’re not good enough, not clever enough or not capable enough.
Amanda helped me learn how to quiet those voices, and she’s helped thousands of others do the same.
That’s why I knew I wanted her to be part of this programme.
I want our students to leave with more than hairdressing skills. I want them to leave with confidence, self-belief and tools they can use for the rest of their lives.
Because when a young person starts believing in themselves, that’s when everything changes.
Only the best for my Future Hair Artists. 🤍

See if I’m honest, I’m no motivational speaker. That’s for the experts.
I’m just a girl that speaks from the heart and tells it how it is.
I’ve never been one for judging people. Whether you’re sitting in my salon chair, working in my team or walking through the doors of Future Hair Artists, I take people at face value.
I think my biggest quality is that I see something in people before they see it in themselves.
When a parent sends me a message saying their child is more confident, happier, speaking up more or talking about getting a job, that’s the stuff that gets me.
Because I know I’m not the one doing the hard work. They are.
Sometimes they just need somebody in their corner saying, ‘You’ve got this.’
For years I’ve done that with women sitting in my salon chair. Now I’m getting to do it with young people too.
And honestly? I think that’s where I’m meant to be.
Not because I’m some expert.
Just because I genuinely care and I want people to see what I see in them.” ❤️
✨ One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been working with my amazing pupils from Airdrie High School.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know these girls, and what I’ve seen is a group of young people with so much potential.
Sometimes young people don’t need someone to tell them what they’re not good at. They need someone to help them discover what they are good at.
Even though I’m currently on holiday, I wanted to check in on them, so I gave them a FaceTime call to see how they were getting on.
The moment that stayed with me most was when two of the girls said:
“Sharon, I’m going to start looking for a Saturday job.”
To some people that might sound like a simple comment.
To me, it meant something much bigger.
What I heard was:
“Sharon, I’m starting to believe in myself.” 🤍
And that’s what this is all about.
Building confidence.
Finding purpose.
Helping young people realise they are capable of more than they think.
If I had room for every one of these girls, I would take them in a heartbeat. Not because they’re perfect, but because I know they’re good girls who simply needed someone to believe in them until they could start believing in themselves.
I can’t wait to see where life takes them next.
Keep going girls. This is only the beginning ✨

Things I wish I knew years ago…
You don’t need to change your life overnight.
Save a little.
Learn a little.
Grow a little.
Improve a little.
The life you want isn’t built in one big moment.
It’s built through hundreds of small decisions nobody sees.
A few years ago I was dreaming about the life I wanted. Today I’m sitting in Rhodes with my laptop open, planning the next chapter for my business, my academy and the opportunities we’re creating for young people.
The view is beautiful, but the real reward is knowing I never gave up.
Keep going.
Your future self is counting on you. 🤍
✨ These aren’t Pinterest photos…
These are real clients.
And they were created by Sophie 🤍
What makes that even more special?
Sophie started as my assistant.
Now look at the standard of work she’s producing ✨
This is exactly why I created Future Hair Artists.
To show young people what’s possible when they’re given the right training, support and confidence.
The skills we teach today could become a career tomorrow.
One day, the work you’re admiring online could be YOUR work.
✨ Learn.
✨ Create.
✨ Grow.
✨ Believe in yourself.
The future of hairdressing starts somewhere… why not here?

✨ “I didn’t think I’d be able to do it…” ✨
This is exactly why we created Future Hair Artists. 🤍
Seeing children grow in confidence, learn new skills, make new friends and feel proud of themselves is what it’s all about.
Don’t just take our word for it… listen to what one of our students had to say after attending our masterclass. The skills they learn are amazing, but the confidence they leave with is priceless. ❤️

Receiving feedback like this means the world to us.
Future Hair Artists was created to give young people confidence, skills, direction and opportunities they may never have thought possible. Seeing schools recognise the impact on their pupils makes every bit of hard work worthwhile.
