Could you spare some time to make a real difference for children in London and Essex? 💚

We're looking for governors and trustees to join the Harris Federation family — and you don't need any experience of running a school to do it. We just need people who are curious, who ask good questions, and who care about giving young people the best possible start in life.

Watch the video to hear more about what's involved, and drop us a message if you'd like to find out more 🎓

She joined the BBC at 16, while she was still at school. 🎙️
We're delighted to introduce Claire Ziwa, our new Head of Communications and Brand.
Claire has worked as a journalist and presenter, and she trained journalists in more than a dozen African countries emerging from conflict. She has also led media at Essex Police, spent nine years leading communications at a top-performing school and led communications for an international children's charity.

Throughout her career, she has helped people tell their own stories, with dignity and authenticity. She now brings that to our 59 academies and the communities they serve.

Her advice to anyone thinking about joining Harris:
"Approach it with curiosity. Whatever area you work in, your role will make a difference to the lives of children. If you want to make a difference to children's lives, Harris is a brilliant place to belong."

Welcome to the Federation, Claire! 👋
