In the last ever edition of Around The Palace, we celebrate the much-deserved success of our A Level and GCSE students, enjoy photos from the Art, History & Politics trip to Washington DC and look back at our Year 6 leavers party in July as they enjoyed the fabulous end-of-year celebration that is 'The Oscars'.

Congratulations to all our Year 11 students today as they celebrated some outstanding GCSE results. Almost half (48.6%) of grades were 9-8 whilst 8 students achieved straight 8/9s and 25 students gained 7s and above in every subject. One student even secured grade 9 in every subject.

We so enjoyed celebrating with all our lovely families today and wish all our students the very best for their new schools.

Congratulations to all our Year 13 students on their outstanding A level results this year. We were delighted that a quarter achieved straight A*/A grades and 51% secured A* and A grades.

94% achieved their first or second choice of university, including two to read Medicine, whilst another achieved their 3* offer from Imperial College.

This is a remarkable achievement considering the difficult circumstances Old Palace has experienced this year and demonstrates an undiminished commitment by staff and students to academic performance across the school.

We are so proud of you all and wish you the very best for your future, whatever and wherever that may be.

The final OPA Summer Reunion took place on Saturday and what a memorable day it was!

It was wonderful to welcome over 250 OPJWS Alumnae to the Senior School on what was the most beautiful summer's day. Ex pupils who hadn't seen each other for years were thrilled to see one another again and there were many fascinating stories about life at Old Palace going back to the 1950's (when things did sound a little spartan!).
