🌳🍃 Preschool's Forest School Adventure! 🍃🌳

What an exciting day our Preschool children had on their trip to Forest School! Armed with wellies, waterproofs, and lots of curiosity, they set off to explore the great outdoors.

We were so proud of how adventurous, kind, and enthusiastic the children were throughout the day. Their imaginations were in full swing as they turned sticks into magic wands, leaves into treasures, and the forest into their very own adventure playground!

✨ Meet Our Reception Team for 2026! ✨

We are delighted to introduce the fantastic team who will be welcoming our newest Reception children in September 2026!

Returning to Reception are the wonderful Mrs Graham and Mrs Kessanpalli, who many of our families already know and love. Their dedication, experience, and passion for helping children flourish make them a truly incredible part of our school community.

Joining them this year is Mrs King! Many of you will recognise Mrs King from her time at our Little Elmhurst Nursery, where she has built wonderful relationships with children and families alike. We are thrilled to have her bringing her enthusiasm, warmth, and expertise to our Reception team.

Whilst we are excited for this new chapter, we also take this opportunity to thank Mrs Dale, who retired this year after many wonderful years here at Elmhurst. Her contribution to the lives of so many children has been truly remarkable, and she will always remain a cherished part of the Elmhurst family. ❤️

Together, Mrs Graham, Mrs Kessanpalli, and Mrs King make a fantastic team, and we can't wait to see this Reception dream team come together to inspire, nurture, and help your children thrive.

Our Africa-themed assembly took us on an exciting journey across the continent, filled with vibrant songs, energetic dancing, fascinating facts, and lots of smiles. The children showed incredible confidence, enthusiasm, and teamwork as they shared everything they have been learning.

We are so proud of each and every child for their hard work and for putting on such a memorable performance. A huge thank you to all the families who came along to support them – your encouragement means so much!

This week, we were delighted to welcome our new families to our Reception Transition Parent Workshop! 📚✨

The session gave parents and carers the opportunity to learn more about how we support children as they begin their exciting school journey, explore ways to encourage learning at home, and discover how we work together to help every child thrive. 💛

Starting school is a big milestone, and we're committed to making the transition as smooth and positive as possible for both children and families.

🌟 Our brilliant Year 5 pupils rose to the challenge at the Royal Russell Maths Challenge! Tackling tricky puzzles, problem-solving with confidence, and impressing everyone with their teamwork and mathematical thinking — we couldn’t be prouder. 🧠✨

And as an added bonus, they even got to meet the headmaster’s famous dog, Scrumpy! 🐾
