We’re incredibly proud of our students’ success in the Yamaha Music School UK Composition Competition this year 🥳

🏆 Heeya won 1st Place with her original composition, Tonight, inspired by the emotions of leaving primary school and beginning a new chapter. Her prize includes £500 to spend at Yamaha, Dorico Elements, and a professional recording studio session to bring her song to life. This video gives you a little snippet of what’s to come after the recording studio session!

🥉 The Thursdays were awarded 3rd Place for their composition, One Last Fry, winning £150 to spend at Yamaha and Dorico Elements. So cool! 😎

As an added bonus, our teachers have also received £200 to spend at Yamaha in recognition of their support and encouragement throughout the composition process.

Congratulations to Heeya, The Thursdays, and all of our students who took part. We’re so proud of your creativity, imagination, and musicianship. Here’s to many more original compositions and songs! 🎶 🤘

T-minus 2 days until Summer Camp! 🌞

Throughout the week, children will explore a different Brazilian musical style each day through interactive drumming, body percussion, games and performance activities 🎵 🇧🇷

Alongside the music, we’ll be creating carnival-inspired arts and crafts including headdresses, masks, crowns, bunting and Brazilian flags, with plenty of games, park time (weather permitting), and a chance to relax together with the film Rio on Friday afternoon before our end-of-week performance.
