Sherwood Preschool has a few spaces available from September 2026 for children aged 2-4 years.

We offer funded places, including two-year-old funding for eligible families.

It’s due to be another hot day tomorrow.

Please ensure your child has plenty of named spare clothes in their bag as we will have a lot of water play. Please also apply sun cream on your child before they come in. If they are with us all day, please add a named bottle of sun cream into their bag too; we will apply more cream at lunchtime.

We will ensure there is plenty of shade during their play, indoor breaks and reminders for the children to drink water.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We wanted to share some important dates with you for the end of the summer term. ☀️

🎓 Graduation - Friday 10th July at 2:00 pm
Our graduation ceremony will be for the children who are leaving Sherwood and going to primary school in September.

Please note that this will still be a normal preschool day, so all children are welcome to attend their usual sessions.

More information regarding graduation arrangements will be sent out closer to the time.

🎉 Summer Fair - Saturday 18th July
We will be holding our Sherwood Summer Fair on Saturday, 18th July.
Time to be confirmed.

More details will follow soon. We hope as many families as possible can join us.

🎈 Last Day of Term / Party Day - Tuesday 21st July
Tuesday, 21st July, will be our last day of term, and we will be celebrating with a party day at preschool.

Party day is for all children who attend Sherwood Preschool.

⚽️🏆 World Cup 2026 Celebration 🏆⚽️

To celebrate the start of the World Cup, on Thursday 11th June, we invite all children to come dressed in either a football kit or the colours of their country’s flag. 🌍❤️

Throughout the day, we will talk to the children about the World Cup, why it is such a special event, and they will have the chance to take part in a fun game of football. ⚽️🥅

We look forward to seeing everyone join in the celebration! 😁

⭐️REMINDER⭐️

Tomorrow is our fancy dress party day!

Please send your child in fancy dress or party clothes.

Please donate a bag of sweets ONLY for our summer fair tombola. We do not need any other items at this point for our summer fair.

Good evening everyone,

To help raise a little extra money for our Summer Fair, we’ll be selling these fun squishies tomorrow before preschool starts and again at home time.

Prices range from £4–£5, and all money raised will go towards supporting our Summer Fair.

If your child would like one, please bring some cash. We have a limited number available, so it will be first come, first served.
