🚌🛒 A bus journey to Tesco!

The children enjoyed an exciting trip from the nursery to Tesco, travelling together on the bus and taking in everything they could see along the way. This real-life experience supported their understanding of the world, road and travel awareness, communication skills and confidence when exploring the local community. ✨

🌟 Calling all nursery friends, past parents/carers, and neighbours! 🌟

Please join us for our Family Fun Day on Saturday 12th September, our activity stalls will be open from 12:00 onwards with children's entertainer starting at 13:30.

Our raffle is back again this year and as before all raffle proceeds will go to our two chosen charities SUDC UK and London's Air Ambulance. Our first prize is a one week stay at The Villa Cyprus.

⚽🌍 World Cup fever has arrived in Pre-School!

This week our theme is the World Cup, and the children have been busy designing their very own football players. Using wooden peg dolls, they carefully painted their football kits, choosing their own colours for the shirts and shorts before adding googly eyes and drawing on faces. 🎨✨

Some of our older children even wrote their favourite football numbers on the backs of their shirts, showing fantastic mark-making and early writing skills. 🏆⚽

This creative activity encouraged imagination, fine motor development, decision-making and self-expression, while helping the children learn more about the exciting world of football! 🌟

⚽✨ Jump and pass the ball!

The children had lots of fun taking part in our jump and pass the ball game, developing their gross motor skills, coordination and balance as they moved their bodies in different ways.

The activity also encouraged listening and turn-taking skills as the children followed instructions and worked together as a team. 💛🌈

🌍✨ Fizzing Earth experiment!

The children had so much fun exploring reactions by mixing coloured vinegar with bicarbonate of soda to create a fizzing Earth effect! 🌈🫧

This hands-on science activity encouraged curiosity, exploration and early understanding of cause and effect whilst supporting communication skills as the children talked about what they could see happening. A messy but exciting way to learn through play! 🔬💚
