Year 4 looked very impressive yesterday as they arrived at school in their fantastic Ancient Egyptian outfits, including mummies, explorers, gods, Pharaohs, and Cleopatras! The day was filled with excitement and hands-on learning, truly bringing the ancient world to life.

Today our Year 9 Higher Achievers and Subject Ambassadors took part in a Public Speaking workshop. The session focused on supporting pupils in compiling and presenting effective Dragon's-Den-style pitches. We were delighted to have Old Russellian Bruce Speechley supporting them throughout this journey.

This morning, we welcomed parents of our Year 11 pupils to Drapers' Café for our 'Parent Breakfast and Discussions' with the Upper School Team and Prefects. Parents talked with current sixth-form pupils and explored the many options available as their child moves through the School ☕🥐
Our Junior School pupils had an amazing time at their Charity Disco yesterday! From fancy props to fun dances, they came together to raise money for Home-Start Croydon, supporting families in need. 💖 Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success!
Our Music Scholars' Concert on Monday was more than just a formal performance opportunity to demonstrate the excellence of our scholars - it showcased personal journeys of musical exploration, creativity and development. The promise of our younger scholars was plain to see, as was the refinement of our more experienced musicians.
Last week saw a group of delegates attending the 57th International in The Hague. Our pupils embraced the opportunity to get involved in intense lobbying, networking, resolution-building and debating. Congratulations to our delegates on their successful participation in this prestigious event.
Last week, our Junior School musicians raised money for Home-Start Croydon as they serenaded our school community in the Quad. Well done!
This week, Year 13 Biologists visited Wakehurst Place a large botanical garden in East Sussex. Arriving at Wakehurst Place they headed to the Millennium Seed Bank, which is known as the largest ex-situ conservation site for seeds, currently storing 2.4 billion seeds. They also had a behind the scenes tour of the vaults, which is not open to the public, giving pupils an idea of working in a lab.
