Did you know that October is Black History Month?
Our learning about this topic is reflective of the children's age.

This week we are learning about Garrett Morgan - the inventor of the 3 way traffic light.
Everyone had a turn making their own traffic light, doing a great job of noticing the shapes and colours involved.
We also read a Little People, Big Dreams story about Rosa Parks, afterwards we enjoyed cutting and sticking pictures on our own buses!
The children are so excited to be putting together a booklet showing all of their Black History Month artwork.

We love to play! One of our favourite areas to explore is our Role Play area where our imaginations take us anywhere we can think of. We have been to space in our Pre-School rocket, visited a Dino den, ate well at a Chinese restaurant and also went underground to explore minibeasts.

We have been learning our Shapes and Colours. Have a look at some of the fun activities we have enjoyed which have supported our learning! Over the next couple of weeks we will be exploring what we know about Dinosaurs and Space. Keep a look out for the pictures!

Pre-School reopens tomorrow! We can't wait to see you all again.
