We’ve been fighting in Crosfield’s corner since Croydon Council announced last year that it was considering closing the community asset down as a cost saving measure. Crosfield has been an essential part of local life for decades and remains at the forefront of early years support through its caring and specialist staff, outdoor learning space and innovative approach. The incredible Early Years support at Crosfield and Selhurst Nurseries is transformative for all children and life-changing for children with Special Needs, and its loss would have had a huge impact on our community. We took action and, along with , we secured at least the short term future of the nursery, but the fight goes on as we await Croydon Council’s decision on next steps. Get down to the open day this Saturday to show your support and send a clear message to Croydon Council that it’s hands off our community assets!
