🌟 WHY CHOOSE A TERM-TIME PRESCHOOL OVER AN ALL-YEAR-ROUND NURSERY? 🌟

We often hear parents say, “But you’re closed during the school holidays…” — and yes, we are! But for many families, choosing a term-time preschool can actually make much more sense financially. 💷❤️

✨ Make the most of your funded hours
Government-funded childcare is based on 38 weeks of the year. At a term-time setting, your funded hours aren't stretched across the whole year, meaning you can use more of your entitlement each week.

💷 You’re not paying for childcare you don’t need
If you don’t require childcare during the school holidays, you’re not paying for weeks of childcare you simply don’t need.

⏰ WE OFFER EXTENDED HOURS TOO!
Term-time preschool doesn’t have to mean short days! We offer extended hours, giving working parents the flexibility of longer childcare days while still enjoying the benefits of a term-time setting.

🏡 Perfect for families with older children
Our holidays follow the school calendar, making it much easier for families with school-aged children to have everyone off together.

🎓 Learning, development & school readiness
Our children follow the EYFS through play, exploration and carefully planned learning opportunities, supporting their development and preparing them for that all-important transition to school.

❤️ NO CONSUMABLE CHARGES OR HIDDEN EXTRAS
We want families to get as much as possible from their funded childcare entitlement without lots of additional costs.

📣 SPACES AVAILABLE FROM 9 MONTHS – 4 YEARS ACROSS OUR TWO SETTINGS!

👶 Heavers Farm
📍 58 Dinsdale Gardens, London, SE25 6LT

🧒 Davidson Road
📍 408 Davidson Road, Croydon, CR0 6DD

We accept eligible government-funded childcare, with places available for babies, toddlers and preschool children.

So yes, we may close during the school holidays… but financially, term-time childcare can leave parents much better off, while still providing the extended hours working families need. 💷🙌

📩 We are currently taking enquiries for spaces — message us to arrange a visit and come and see what we have to offer! ❤️

We are a preschool that has been in the community for over 20 years. We offer funded and paying spaces for children aged 9 months-4 years
9 month old funding
2 year old funding

As we close tomorrow for the summer holidays, we just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful children and families for such an incredible year. 💙

It has been an absolute privilege to watch your children grow, learn, develop and achieve so many amazing milestones. From making new friends and building confidence to reaching their individual next steps, every achievement has been a pleasure to be part of. We are so proud of each and every one of them.

A very special thank you goes to the parents who put their trust and faith in us when we first opened our doors in October 2025. Many of you joined us when we had just a handful of children, and without your support we wouldn't be where we are today. Your belief in our vision has meant the world to us.

In less than a year we have achieved so much. We are incredibly proud that our baby room has been full throughout this term and is expected to be full again when we return in September. Seeing our preschool continue to grow is something we are truly grateful for.

I would also like to say a very special thank you to our incredible team at Davidson Pre-School. Your dedication, passion, patience and hard work have not gone unnoticed. Every single one of you has played such an important part in helping our children flourish and in making our setting the warm, welcoming place it is today. Thank you for everything you have done throughout the year – I couldn't be prouder of everything we have achieved together.

If you're looking for childcare from September, we still have limited spaces available across both of our settings for children aged 2 years and over. We accept all government funding with no consumable charges or hidden extras, giving every child the opportunity to access high-quality early years education without additional costs.

Thank you once again to everyone who has supported us throughout this incredible journey. We hope you all have a wonderful summer filled with fun, laughter and precious family memories. We can't wait to welcome all of our returning children and our new families back in September for another fantastic year of learning, play and adventure together.

Have a lovely summer everyone! ☀️🌈💙

🌱 Why choose a term-time preschool?
We understand how hard it can be for parents to return to work full-time while managing childcare costs — even with 30-hour funding.

Choosing a term-time only preschool can really help:

✨ Reduce financial pressure
✨ Allow parents to work more flexibly
✨ Benefit from completely FREE childcare during term time
✨ No additional top-up costs

This means you can focus on work knowing your childcare is secure, high-quality, and cost-free ❤️
