Hello,

My name is Sadia and I am a qualified science teacher (DBS checked) with over 15 years of supporting students to make strong progress and gain great results in their examinations. As well as a Chemistry degree and teaching qualification, I also have extensive experience as a secondary school teacher and tutor and currently teach in a private girls' school.

I am currently opening the following GCSE classes:

Year 10 Chemistry- Tuesdays 6:00pm-7:00pm
Year 11 Chemistry- Thursdays 6:00pm-7:00pm
Year 11 Combined science Chemistry- Saturdays 10:00am-11:00am

Subject knowledge and application as well as a strong emphasis on examination questions/techniques will feature prominently in the sessions.

The maximum class size will be 5 so each student will receive personalised attention and feedback on their work to help them improve and progress. Each lesson is one hour long and is £20 each. If you are also interested in Biology and/or Physics, please do let me know and I will take note of your interest.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Below you will find 3 comments from a parent showing the progress her child made from October to June, with a starting point of a grade 4.3 and finishing on 7.7 (combined science). I initially tutored him in Chemistry and Biology and then Physics. Phenomenal progress! I have many others positive comments for you to read, if you wish.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Sadia

As the pollen count creeps up, make sure you keep your hay fever under control so that you can perform your best in the examinations. Tip: You could smear some Vaseline on the inside of the bottom of your nose to trap some pollen!

It is vital you take regular breaks from revision (like Zane here) to process what you have learnt, maintain motivation and avoid cognitive overload whilst taking care of your mental health. This way, you will be ready to perform your best on the day!

Structure and bonding is a significant topic in GCSE Chemistry and can carry big marks in the examination. Tip: Ensure you refer to the forces between graphite layers as "weak forces of attraction" and not "weak intermolecular forces"!

Don't forget to revise those required practicals for the GCSE Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Combined science examinations which is at least 15% of each paper. Edexcel has a handy sheet containing links to videos to the required practicals:
