Maiden Beech Primary Academy

What a fabulous festive time we have had at the end of 2024. Christmas jumper days, gingerbread making, very special visitors, Christmas lunch together and high spirits all round.

Reception had a great trip to St Bartholomew's Church in Crewkerne this week. They found out more about the nativity story and explored the church finding items significant to those who worship there. It was particularly exciting to ring the church bells with CJ.

We had a wonderful winter cosy film night together. We loved wearing our pyjamas and sharing a snug time together watching festive films now we are in December.

We had a great snowy playtime together on the school field. Then we had a hot chocolate and a story to warm back up!

What an awesome morning with Crewkerne RFC /Crewkerne RFC - Youth! We had a great time learning a new sport and 'robbing the nest'.

Reception have been very curious about celebrations - creating Rangolis, firework shows and reflective artwork for remembrance so far this half term.

Fantastic effort by our trio of Year 2 runners. Our first ever X-Country running 1km!

Our Year 1 Squirrels have been loving their learning this week - drawing spirals, sorting transport into new and old, creating stories and exploring dance moves.

We are back! What an awesome first week with our new reception children in Foxes and Hedgehogs.
