🔴🤭 We thoroughly enjoyed our Comic Relief ‘Comedy Show’ Assembly yesterday! The children confidently shared their jokes, filling the school hall with laughter. The event was a fantastic way to bring the school together while supporting an important cause.

🤸‍♀️ Today, 4 children represented The Berkeley Academy at Gymnastics County Finals, hosted by Cheshire Gymnastics

😁 It was a very successful event for all gymnasts, as they performed their floor routines and vault superbly.

💪 Emily completed her excellent and well-rehearsed routines, narrowly missing out on placement but representing us proudly!

🥈🥇 Mabel placed 2nd overall in the Years 3 + 4 category, whilst Emilie placed 1st overall for Years 5 + 6 making her the County Champion!

👏 Elliott, as an artistic gymnast, was asked to display his High Bar and Parallel Bars routine to all children and spectators, showcasing his talents! Check out the videos in the comments!

Congratulations to our Year 6 children who took part in a netball tournament today! They showed fantastic effort, teamwork, and attitude throughout, placing 4th! Well done Team Berkeley 💙

🏃‍♀️ This week, The Berkeley have taken part in both the Year 4 and Years 5/6 Indoor Athletics Finals, after successfully qualifying in the previous round!

💪 Years 5/6 showed brilliant work ethic and sportsmanship across all events and finished an impressive 7th overall of all qualifying schools in the Crewe and Nantwich area!

🥉 Year 4 performed admirably, with the highlight being victory in both Girls and Boys 4x1 Relay races as the final races of the night. The Berkeley placed a remarkable 3rd place overall!

🙌 Well done to all children who participated!

Well done to the children from Year 3 and 4 who represented The Berkeley at a gymnastics competition today! 🤸‍♀️🌟

They performed fantastic floor routines and vaults against lots of other talented gymnasts, showing great confidence and determination throughout!

A special mention to Mabel, who came third overall, and Emily, who came second overall! 🏆

Firstly, thank you for your patience and understanding today. As you are aware, we have managed to stay open today, but it has not been without its challenges for both parents and staff. Given the current conditions, staffing challenges, forecast and overnight temperatures a difficult decision has been made to close school tomorrow (Tuesday 6th).

The safety of our whole school community is our key priority, and this is not a decision we have taken lightly. We wanted to share this update now so you can make any necessary arrangements in advance.
