Tonight, the staff of St Margaret’s surprised Mrs Hine with a trip to the seaside on a red bus. When Mrs Hine first started at St Margaret’s, we all joined her on a journey and we wanted to end this journey in style. Mrs Hine was surprised by her family as they joined the staff for a fish and chips dinner on the beach.

It was a perfect evening for a perfect Headteacher.

Happy Retirement Mrs Hine!

This week the children can wear:
Monday, Thursday and Friday: PE kits
Tuesday: Red, white and blue for French day
Wednesday: England shirt/red, white and blue or another national team, or PE kit. Children should not wear any other football shirt.

We will also have a later start to the day on Thursday morning following the match. Children will need to be in school by 9.30am. Breakfast club will still be running at the usual time and the school gates will still be open from 8.30am.

Your Local Hero this week is...

Miss Morton at St Margaret's CE Primary School

The nomination said: "I would like to nominate Miss Morton from St Margaret’s School. She is absolutely amazing with all the children, but she has been an especially incredible support to my family. She guided us through the entire process of getting my son’s autism diagnosis, and I will be forever grateful for her help. I just want her to know what a truly fantastic job she is doing."

We delivered 20 large cookies to Miss Morton as a small thank you for being a Local Hero!

A big thank you to the Headteacher, Mrs Hine (on the right in the pic) and Mr Chambers for your help organising the surprise!

Today, you should have received your child’s annual report and attendance certificate for the academic year 2025-2026.

Certain year groups will be getting additional reports as well.

Year 6 end of Key Stage 2 Report is currently delayed (as per Mrs Hine’s newsletter).

Please check your spam/junk folders for these emails. If you have not received them by Monday morning, please email the school office and we will resend.

Have a good weekend!

Our Reception children recently revisited a self-portrait activity they first completed at the beginning of the school year. Comparing their new drawings with their original ones shows just how much they have grown and developed. The improvement in their drawing skills, confidence and creativity is truly fantastic!
