Well done to our special friend Prince who passed his yearly reassessment today with flying colours! Prince even got to catch up with his sister Penny and brother Peanut who both passed as well! Now he’s looking forward to catching up with all of the boys and girls in Brookfield in September 💜🐾🦮

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our Chair of the Board of Governors, Mrs Joanna Ogle.

Joanna was part of the Brookfield School family for more than 30 years, and her dedication, commitment and unwavering support throughout that time were truly exceptional. She cared deeply about our school, our staff and, most importantly, our pupils. Joanna took immense pride and joy in attending school events and celebrations, and she delighted in seeing generations of pupils grow, develop and achieve their full potential.

Throughout her years of service, Joanna played a significant role in the growth and development of Brookfield School, helping to shape the school we are today. Even in recent months, she remained enthusiastic about the ongoing building works and excited about the future opportunities they would bring for our pupils and wider school community.

Joanna was a remarkable lady whose kindness, wisdom, warmth, experience and sense of humour touched the lives of so many. She gave so generously of her time, and her support, guidance and friendship were greatly valued by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her.

She will be greatly missed by everyone at Brookfield School. Her legacy will continue to live on through the school she loved and served so faithfully for so many years.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Joanna's immediate family and wider family circle at this incredibly sad and difficult time.

May she rest in peace.

Prince hopes all of his friends in Brookfield are staying cool in this heat! He’s been enjoying lots of water, waiting until it’s a bit cooler for his walks, chilling on the couch and he did try a sun hat but it didn’t last too long! 🦮☀️🥵

If you are in receipt of one of the following, you will need to upload a Proof of Benefit letter when applying for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the 2026/27 academic year:

➡️ Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
➡️ Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit

You can request a Proof of Benefit letter online: https://t.co/vhcVyDRoi5 (It will take at least five days to be sent to you)

If you receive Universal Credit, you do not need the Proof of Benefit Letter. However, you will need to upload evidence of your Universal Credit entitlement when you apply.
