Another Country Mice summer wedding! 💍☀️❤️

The Country Mice team had the honour of celebrating another very special summer wedding together — and this time, it was our wonderful Treasurer, Tilly, who was the beautiful bride! 🥂✨

Tilly plays such an important part behind the scenes at Country Mice, giving her time, support and dedication to help our little nursery continue to grow. So, it was lovely to take a moment away from nursery life to celebrate her and this very special milestone.

From all of us at Country Mice Nursery, we send our biggest congratulations to Tilly & Chris. We hope your wedding day was everything you dreamed of and that your future together is filled with love, laughter, adventures and many, many happy memories.

We hope all our families are having a wonderful summer holiday! We wanted to share some lovely news – yesterday we had the honour of celebrating Kirsty and Lewis’s wedding day! 💍✨

Kirsty is an incredible member of our team, always ready to get stuck into every activity. While she is often covered in paint, glitter and arts and crafts at nursery, yesterday she was able to step away from the mess and be the most beautiful bride.

From everyone at Country Mice Nursery, we would like to say a huge congratulations to Kirsty and Lewis. We wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness and wonderful memories together. ❤️

And just like that, we’re packing our bags one last time, leaving Wales behind and heading home to England. ❤️

Before we do, I just wanted to say one final thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this incredible journey.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along across our social media, read our updates, cheered us on, and left such wonderful mountain messages during our bingo night. Reading those each evening really kept our spirits high and gave us the motivation to keep pushing forward.

Thank you to all the girls at work for constantly checking in, keeping us in your thoughts, and to Kirsty for putting together the best road trip goodie bag, filled with all our favourite snacks and drinks. It was the perfect surprise! 🐭

A huge thank you to Emma for lending us your walking poles, both for our training hikes and the real thing. They were even more of a lifesaver than I ever imagined, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️

Thank you to all our friends and family who have followed our journey, checked in on us, and supported us every step of the way. It has meant more than you’ll ever know.

And finally… a future thank you! 😂 I have a feeling I’ll be talking about this adventure and reminding everyone that we completed the Three Peaks for quite some time yet, so thank you in advance for listening!

🏔️ SNOWDON — COMPLETED! 🏔️

THAT’S THREE FOR THREE… WE ARE DONE! 🎉🙌

We got to the summit of Snowdon in 2½ hours and made it back down in just over 2 hours — we absolutely smashed it out the park, if I do say so myself! 💪😂

There are SO many people I want to thank, and I will be doing that properly, but first… I think it’s time to appreciate US. ❤️

Myself, Beth and Rhys have put so much into completing this challenge. From the training beforehand, the time taken off work, the cost of all the clothing and equipment we needed, to paying for accommodation, food, drinks and all that petrol — all so we could raise as much money as possible for Country Mice Nursery. 🐭❤️

So today, this post is about celebrating what we have achieved this week.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Ben Nevis — DONE
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Scafell Pike — DONE
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Snowdon — DONE

Three of the highest mountains in the UK. Three massive challenges. And we bloody did it! 🏔️🏔️🏔️

You three mountains have been challenging, mainly COLD, WINDY and absolutely brutal at times 😂 — but we have conquered every single one!

And then came the biggest surprise of the day…

After clambering back down Snowdon, absolutely shattered, I reached the bottom to find my two children waiting there to greet me! 🥹❤️

What an incredible surprise. Thank you, kiddos! You made the end of this challenge even more special. ❤️

And if that wasn’t enough… after reaching the highest point in Wales, Rhys and my son decided the obvious next step was to head straight to Zip World and take on the UK’s longest zip line almost immediately after Snowdon! 😂🤦‍♀️

Honestly… I think they might be slightly mad! 🤣

But for now, the mountains are done. The challenge is complete. The legs are absolutely knackered…

So now it’s time to find the nearest local pub and celebrate our success! 🍻🎉

So today we travelled another 250 miles, this time into Wales, ready to take on our third and final challenge… Snowdon! 🏔️💪

We are so close to the finish line now. After already conquering Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike this week, we’re definitely feeling the aches and pains, but our determination is stronger than ever. Every sore muscle is a reminder of how far we’ve come, and there’s no way we’re stopping now!

Tomorrow is the final push. One last mountain. One last climb. One last chance to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, followed our journey, donated, liked, shared and cheered us on every step of the way. Your encouragement has kept us going when our legs have wanted to give up!

It’s mad to think that, other than all of our summit picture’s, all photos and videos were captured in just the first and last 30 minutes of the journey – the only times we actually had any visibility! The rest of the hike was spent battling thick fog, strong winds and some seriously challenging conditions.

Scafell Pike – Completed ✔️⛰️

Today we started our second mountain with a completely different mindset. With our legs still aching from Ben Nevis, we decided this climb was going to be all about soaking up the views, filming videos, having a laugh and taking our time.

But Mother Nature had other plans…

We were less than halfway up when everything changed. The fog rolled in, the winds picked up, and the only other hikers we met on the way to the summit warned us that today wasn’t the safest day to climb.

Within minutes, we understood exactly what they meant.

The winds became so powerful that we had to drive our walking poles into the rocks just to steady ourselves as the gusts literally pushed us sideways. Then came the zero visibility. You could hear people around you but couldn’t see them. There was no path, no landmarks – just the patch of ground beneath your feet.

For a moment, we seriously considered turning back. No challenge is ever more important than our safety.

From that point on, we had to completely lock in. We stayed close together, trusted each other’s footsteps, and relied on a compass to guide us when our eyes couldn’t. It felt like walking through a blizzard. Every rock was slippery, every step was into the unknown, and at times it was genuinely frightening.

But we did it.

Despite spending the first part of the climb laughing, filming and enjoying ourselves before conditions turned, we still reached the summit in just 2½ hours, and made it safely back down in another 2½ hours.

Scafell Pike may not be as tall as Ben Nevis, but today proved that a mountain’s height doesn’t always determine its difficulty. Mother Nature turned this into one of the toughest challenges we’ve ever faced.

Two mountains down… one to go.

Today we travelled over 300 miles back into England, ready to take on Scafell Pike tomorrow! ⛰️💪

Scotland, you have been miserable, wet, brutal and relentless… but wow, have you been beautiful too. The endless mountains, rolling hills and vast lochs stretching for miles without a house in sight were simply breathtaking. No photo or video could ever do your scenery justice. Every turn revealed another incredible view, and it’s a place everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

Now, with our legs still aching and feeling the effects of conquering Ben Nevis, we’re trying to psych ourselves up for tomorrow. Scafell Pike may not be as tall as Ben Nevis, but we know it will be no easy feat. Its steep climbs, relentless rocky paths and unforgiving terrain are enough to test even fresh legs—let alone ours!

We honestly can’t thank you all enough for your incredible support. Every message, every like, every share and every donation is giving us that extra push when our bodies are telling us to stop. ❤️

Time for some much-needed rest after a long day of travelling, because tomorrow it’s Mountain #2… wish us luck! 🥾⛰️
