This week, our students have been making their own pizzas 🙂
And we don't just mean adding some toppings to a ready-made base; they have made their own tortilla wraps from scratch, and used these as a pizza base!
Cooking skills give the students not only an eventual qualification, but valuable skills so that they can move forward with knowledge of a balanced diet, good nutrition, and the skills to put this into practice.
Our students are very proud of their work this week and it is amazing to see their confidence improve!

This week, our students have had some great fun in their cooking lessons, making a Swiss roll!

Students have improved their skills in the kitchen and our older students are growing their independence. Cooking is not only fun, but a useful skill that will aid them in their adult life, and is accompanied by theory lessons so that our students gain a qualification.

Emphasis this week has been on the presentation of the plate, leading some to some very creative looking portions! .

🚜🟡 Putting Spatial Reasoning into Action! 🟡🚜
Today, one of our Primary students took on an exciting challenge during their Spatial Reasoning lesson, using a remote-controlled JCB to navigate a maze of obstacles and transport sand from one end to the other! 🏗️

This engaging activity encouraged problem-solving, hand-eye coordination, planning, and critical thinking as the student carefully manoeuvred the vehicle through the course and completed the task.

Learning through practical, hands-on experiences helps make lessons both fun and meaningful, and this challenge was a fantastic example of determination, focus, and skill in action. Well done! 👏🌟

🔨🧱 Building Skills for the Future! 🧱🔨 Some of our Secondary students have been hard at work in their Bricklaying and Tiling lesson, developing practical construction skills and gaining hands-on experience with industry techniques. From laying bricks and applying mortar to creating neat and level tile designs, students demonstrated excellent focus, precision and determination throughout the session.
