Work Experience Spotlight 💜
Hi, my name is Ahana and I’m completing my work experience at The Violet Project CIO a su***de prevention charity during my time at Finham Park Multi-Academy Trust . I’m really interested in psychology, especially understanding how young minds work.
During my time here, I’ve been thinking about mental health and some of the factors that can affect it for young people. Mental health is something many teenagers struggle with, and there are often different reasons why.
Exam stress can be a major contributor to poor mental health. Exams can bring a lot of pressure, and it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. The weeks leading up to exams can feel like a constant presence filled with anxious thoughts about preparation, panic, and self-doubt. Exam stress is not just about feeling nervous on the day, it can also affect how you feel while waiting for results. When results arrive, it can sometimes lead to comparing yourself with friends or peers, which may create a cycle of disappointment or distress.
There are ways to manage exam stress, such as:
🔔Taking regular breaks while studying to avoid burnout
🤯Practising deep breathing or mindfulness to calm your mind
🛌Getting enough sleep and exercise to support your body and brain
🗣️Talking to someone you trust about how you’re feeling
Remember, reaching out for support is an important step .You don’t have to go through it alone.

Today is National School Governors' Awareness Day 🎓
You may not often see the work of our Governors and Trustees, but they play a vital role in supporting and shaping our schools.
These dedicated volunteers work behind the scenes to provide strategic leadership, ensure accountability, and help make important decisions that guide the future of our school. They give their time freely — often reading reports late into the evening, asking challenging questions, and making thoughtful decisions — all to ensure the very best outcomes for your children.
To our Governors and Trustees, thank you for your commitment, care, and continued support of our school community. Your work truly makes a difference to the education and opportunities we provide every day.

Last week we launched the Coventry & Warwickshire Boys' Impact Hub with an event at the University of Warwick
There has been great interest in the Hub so far as many in C&W recognise the importance of working together to support FSM boys and young men by changing the narrative and giving them the voice and opportunities that can make a difference.
Thank you to Emmanuelle from Positive Youth Foundation (PYF), Dr Alex Blower and Tier Blundell Excluded from School for speaking at the event and thanks to the the rest of the committee for helping to organise and run the launch. We are excited about how this can develop and evolve now.
This Hub is for everyone working with or for boys. I am really pleased that we have a really good mix of schools, FE, HE, local authority colleagues, VRP, youth groups, organisations and companies signed up who want to share and collaborate on this work going forward.
This term we have some *free* professional development opportunities with Progressive Masculinity and Safer Together 'Time to Talk' please get in touch if you are interested. If you are not already signed up to be part of the Hub and receive updates via email please get in touch with [email protected].
Thank you to Selasi from PYF for the photographs taken during the event 🤩

🌟 FPMAT Training Day – Supporting Our Community 🌟
During our recent FPMAT Training Day, staff from across the Trust came together to collate a fantastic number of items for the food bank — and it was a huge success.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all staff who donated and supported this initiative. Your generosity will make a real difference to individuals and families in our local community.
If you would still like to donate, contributions can be made at various local shops, including Aldi, Cannon Park. Every donation, no matter how small, really does help.
Thank you for your continued support 💙
