Dear colleague
The British Council and the Coventry City of Culture Trust have commissioned Coventry University and Warwick University to undertake a study to map creative and cultural businesses, industries and organisations currently operating in Coventry.
Please find here https://coventry.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/coventry-based-creative-industries-survey-copy
a link to a short survey which we would be most grateful you complete. The survey should take just a couple of minutes.
The survey will be repeated at a future date or dates, to enable the commissioners to build a picture and tell one story of what has changed for Coventry creative individuals and companies over the City of Culture years.
Please feel free to pass this email on to any colleagues you think the survey applies to.
We are taking the widest interpretation of ‘creative industries’ to include all the Department of Culture, Media and Sport categories so this survey is for all individuals and companies involved in the fields of:
Advertising and marketing, Architecture, Crafts Design and designer fashion, Film, TV, video, radio and photography, IT, software and computer services, Publishing, Museums, Galleries and Libraries, and Music, performing and visual arts
Your participation and help is most appreciated

Shakespeare has gone digital!
To encourage children to interact safely online and learn about all things Shakespearian, the Disruptive Media Learning Lab at Coventry University have collaborated with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and MakeWaves for Shakespeare Week 2017 (20-26 March).
Mission Shakespeare sits on the MakeWav.es platform, an educational site designed to support primary school age children, and introduces children to the life and times of William Shakespeare through interactive tasks rewarded with digital badges.
Schools can access their own secure pages for children to upload pictures, videos and examples of their work before tasks are assessed by teachers, shared with friends and digital badges awarded.
The nine badges (designed for KS1 and KS2) encourage creative tasks from model building to rapping, tasking children to imagine how the famous bard might have looked through puppet making, and even to cook up their own Shakespearian recipe.
Mission Shakespeare is part of a host of cross-curricular activities throughout Shakespeare Week which this year runs from March 20-26.
