We currently have a funded PhD opportunity for Home (UK) students interested in machine learning and computational modelling.

The project will seek to use advanced mathematical and machine learning approaches to identify hidden information within cardiac electrical signals that is currently unavailable to clinicians.

There will be opportunities to work across multiple disciplines, including:

- Machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Biomedical signal processing
- Computational modelling
- Clinical electrophysiology

How do we decide which screening programmes to introduce and which population groups to screen? What are the ethics behind screening? How do we quality assure programmes and ensure safety and effectiveness?

We're running a 5-day training course in November in collaboration with the UK National Screening Committee about evaluating health screening. It's aimed at those who run or evaluate screening programmes locally or nationally, as well as those interested in policy and practice in population screening.

We're running a one-day online professional development course in January where you'll learn how to:

- describe research in ethical language
