Recent findings from the NFU highlight the challenges facing UK food production, including declining self-sufficiency across many everyday foods and increasing reliance on imports. At the same time, farmers continue to face rising costs, extreme weather events and evolving industry demands.
Meeting these challenges requires more than investment in infrastructure and technology. It also depends on having a skilled, capable and resilient workforce.
