Back on the 6th of May at 6.30pm is the VAWG Women's Walk in partnership with Leamington Police ✨️

We meet outside and with this lovely weather, it’s the perfect excuse to get out in the sunshine, have a chat and walk together 🩷

There is always a brilliant mix of women who come along on their own and those who come with friends, so please don’t worry if you’re coming solo. By the end, you’ll almost certainly have made some new ones. 💛

🐾 Dogs are very welcome too — the more waggy tails, the better!

The walk finishes at hub where you can also join us for tea & cakes. Walk, sunshine, dogs, tea & cake … what more could we ask for?

We can’t wait to see you there! ☀️🐾

🌿 Why Removing Sheep from the Moor Is a Big Mistake 🐑

There’s growing pressure in some circles to remove sheep from our uplands — but let’s be clear: this would be a disaster for our moorlands, our farms, and the environment.

Sheep are essential land managers. Without them, invasive species like bracken and ragwort quickly take over. These plants aren’t just a nuisance — ragwort and bracken can dominate the landscape, choking out native biodiversity.

Moorlands and hill farms have been shaped by generations of careful grazing. Sheep help keep these landscapes open, healthy, and rich in native plants and wildlife. Take them away, and you don’t get “rewilding” — you get neglect.

Support the farmers who know these hills best. Keep sheep on the moor. 🐏🌾

Why are politicians getting involved in our farming ? Because they want us to buy foreign meat and be completely reliant on it especially meat from the states full of hormones and chemicals

Buy off local Farners

These faceless corporations are actually sucking the wealth out of this country. It needs to stop. Rapidly! The best part is, we don’t need to protest, lobby or ask for help. We can just walk away.
