Girls Football 🥇

Huge congratulations to the Girls Football team who came out victorious in the recent Football Rally held at Christ The King. Well done to all the girls 👏🏼🏆

Year 5 had a fascinating talk today from Mrs French (an ex pupil) all about St Thomas More in the 1960s. They learnt about uniforms, lessons, discipline, reports and school dinners!

✝️ Adoration & Benediction ✝️

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, remembering Christ’s immense, compassionate love for us.

In the words of St. Claude de la Colombière, “Jesus Christ loves us so much that He has left us His heart to be our refuge.”

Year 4 had a fantastic trip to St. Columban’s for a ‘Flourish’ Eco day, looking at our care of the planet and God’s gift of Creation. They learned about the bees, endangered animals, drew inspiration from art to make nature collages and icons, and identified creatures from their pond dipping. In Vinny’s words, “We did lots of eco-friendly activities. The pond-dipping was the best - David caught a Great Crested Newt!”

Open Gardens - A celebration of families and community working together. Our school gates were open for the first time as part of Stivichall’s Open Gardens. We were amazed by the 263 adults, 17 children and 14 dogs that visited!

Year 4 Orienteering 🗺️

A look back at when some of our Year 4’s attended an Orienteering event at Rough Close Campsite. Pupils were only given a map and a stopwatch as they were challenged to complete a World Cup quiz around the campsite. A great chance for them to develop their communication, team working skills along with map reading 📍🗺️

The group came 3rd overall 🥉👏🏼

Year 4 had a wonderful time at Conkers today! The children really enjoyed the barefoot walk, learning all about the reclaimed land, and exploring the site. The rain stayed away! ☔️

Year 2 had a lovely time at Aston Hall. We are so proud of how well the children represented our school. Take a look at what they got up to!
