Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the current high temperatures, we wanted to update you on the arrangements in place at school.

At present, Tiverton School remains open as normal. We have implemented a number of measures to help keep pupils and staff safe and comfortable, including the use of fans, keeping blinds closed, encouraging regular hydration, limiting physical activities, and monitoring vulnerable pupils closely throughout the day.

We recognise that some pupils with complex medical needs or health conditions may find it particularly difficult to cope in hot weather. If you feel that your child is especially vulnerable to the heat and would be more comfortable and better supported at home, you may choose to keep them at home during this period. Please notify the school office in the usual way if you decide to do so.

We kindly ask that all pupils attend school with a filled water bottle and appropriate clothing for the warm weather.

If you have any concerns regarding your child's health or ability to attend during the current temperatures, please contact the school so that we can discuss the most appropriate arrangements.
