When learning is much more than a classroom!

Today our session at Invent Training was fantastic!

These are two young people who struggle with their mental health, their peer interaction and have huge sensory difficulties.

They can often completely shut down.

Well not today!

They were both fully engaged in using their hands to get stuck into some baking, some super messy baking too!

They chatted, they laughed and they shared life experiences.

They left my session full of life and I left my session with a full heart ❤️

Today we reached a big milestone in our journey of opening our Primary Alternative Provision!

We had our very first student and they had the most amazing time and so did we!

I’m so thankful to share this news after being open for just over a week!

We offer a bespoke education and our sessions can be full days or half days depending on what suits the individual.

None of this would have been possible though without my incredible staff team right by my side.

It’s honestly been the toughest and most stressful decision I’ve ever made in business, with a huge financial burden.

There’s still a long way to go in making this work and I’ve personally given myself a deadline to when I say no more and I give up on this dream, but for now, we keep pushing on in hope that our uptake of children increases 🤞🏻

I’ve only gone and won another award!!!

Inspirational woman at the Veda Women’s Awards!

To say I’m in shock and disbelief is an understatement.

I wasn’t going to go tonight because quite honestly I’m exhausted and when my name was called the tears just poured out!

Thank you to all those people who believe in me, see the difference I try to make in this big wide world and are my ultimate cheerleaders in life!

Excited to say that we have our very first young person starting with us next week at our Alternative Provision.

We opened our doors on September 1st so it’s been a busy week but this is a huge step in the right direction!

We still have some availability for visits so please get in touch if you’d like to come and see us.

Today, our day started with Amy Davies and Pete Martin popping along to the hub to do a relaxed photoshoot. This is to help towards research for Helping Hands Community Trusts 30th anniversary which is fast approaching.

We then began our 2 day update paediatric first aid training.

As a company we always ensure that our services are quality led. Keeping our training up to date is always paramount.

Oh, and award season is here! Wish me luck! 🍀
