Hi all,
Wow what a term it has been! We were truly blown away with the success of our first event of the academic year - our Fireworks Night. We have had an eventful time after this night. The John Fishers cross country was a success but was eventful finding out there was no electricity at 9am and then the cancellation of our Christmas Fayre. But as always SASA, the school and our school community come together to make the best out of every situation.
A heart filled thank you for all your donations, messages and cards when the fayre was cancelled. We were all overwhelmed with your generosity and kindness.
With our Christmas Fayre cancelled we rallied around to provide the children with the best experience possible and deliver Santa's Grotto, and ensure for the children received a present. From their responses and your kind messages I think the children will say it was an enjoyable experience.
Thank you to all the parents who helped get raffle prizes, wrap presents, make up sweet bags etc. A special thank you to Jennifer Blackburne who has single handedly made-up loads of Christmas hampers, as always, they were filled with lots of goodies and presented beautifully.
I would to thank Anne (Marie Kember mum) for donating all the decorations for inside the grotto, Karla Bradley and Danni Daniella Vicente-Machado for all the decorations outside the grotto, Andy Horrigan and Ian McIntyre for lending us their gazebos, Emma Downing for being one of our elves and Sarah Hunt and Louise Tomassi for helping out on the day.
You all see me and often hear from me but what many of you may not know is that I would not be able do what I do without a vital team of people I work alongside to make it all happen. So, I would like to thank Sarah Hunt (Secretary), Karla Bradley (Deputy Chair), Andy Horrigan (Treasurer), Sofia Costa (Tickets Ambassador), our new recruits daniella Vicente-Machado and Caroline McIntyre and all SASA members. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed and is truly appreciated not just by me and the school but by the children and their families too. We together make a phenomenal team!
Hopefully in 2022 SASA will be able to do more fun, supportive and exciting things by holding school discos, movie nights, mother and father day sales and a summer family event.
All the money we raise will be used to help update the trim trail and outdoor learning facilities, purchase a class of laptops and ipads and help fund school trips, amongst other things.
On behalf of the SASA, I would like to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. I hope you all have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
Blessings and love to you all.
