🐉🧧 Our Lunar New Year Celebrations Are Under Way! 🧧🐉

Our Preschool children have been fully immersed in our Lunar New Year celebrations!

Today, they explored rice noodles and spring onions, using their senses to investigate texture, smell and appearance. We discussed how these ingredients are used in dishes often found in Chinese restaurants and why food is such an important part of celebrations. 🍜🥬

The children also had a go at using chopsticks, which was a fantastic opportunity to develop fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination and perseverance. There were lots of smiles, determination and proud moments! 🥢✨

Experiences like this support rich language development, cultural awareness and understanding of the world around us — all through hands-on, meaningful play. 🌏❤️

We’re excited to continue our Lunar New Year celebrations over the coming days!

✨ Christmas Lunch at KingFishers Nursery ✨
Today our little ones enjoyed a magical Christmas lunch filled with laughter, sparkles and delicious festive food! 🎄❄️

From cosy conversations at the table to the excitement of sharing a meal with friends, the room was full of smiles and Christmas cheer. ❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing team for creating such a warm, joyful atmosphere — and to our wonderful children for making the day so special. 🌟

🎃 Pumpkin fun in Preschool! 🎃

Today our preschoolers had an exciting autumn activity — pumpkin carving! 🍂
They loved smelling the fresh pumpkin, feeling the squishy texture, and exploring the slippery seeds inside. It was a wonderful sensory experience full of curiosity and laughter! 🧡

Activities like this help children develop their fine motor skills, language, and understanding of the world — all while having so much fun! 🌟

🚦🕷️🍂 Exciting Day in Preschool! 🎃✨

Our preschoolers are busy learning about Garrett Morgan, the brilliant inventor of the traffic light! 💡 They’re having so much fun designing and creating their very own traffic lights, exploring colours, sequencing and road safety 🚗🟢🟡🔴

There’s also some Halloween fun happening as the children search for letters hidden in our spider web–themed tuff tray, using child-friendly tweezers to find and collect them 🕷️🔤

Meanwhile, others are exploring autumn-themed playdough scented with cinnamon — rolling, pressing and shaping while enjoying the lovely seasonal scent 🍁👃

A wonderful morning of learning, creativity and sensory exploration! 🧡

🍂 Autumn Sensory Fun! 🍊💧

Our preschoolers have been enjoying an autumn-themed water tray filled with warm cinnamon scents, orange slices, and plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning! 🧡

Using spoons, jugs and cups, the children have been experimenting with pouring, scooping and describing what they see — using fantastic mathematical language such as “full”, “empty”, “more” and “less.” 🍁

This simple but engaging activity encourages sensory exploration, early maths skills and rich language development — all while celebrating the sights and smells of autumn! 🍂✨

🧪✨ Potion fun in Preschool! ✨🧙‍♀️

Our preschoolers have been busy mixing, pouring, and creating their very own magical potions this week! 💫 Using colourful liquids, glitter, and plenty of imagination, they explored cause and effect, problem-solving, and early science skills — all through play! 🌈

It’s amazing to see their creativity come alive as they describe what their potions can do — from turning people into frogs 🐸 to making unicorns fly! 🦄

💛💚🖤 Black History Month in Preschool ❤️💛💚

Our preschool children have been learning all about Bob Marley and the beautiful island of Jamaica! 🇯🇲🎶

They’ve enjoyed decorating vibrant Jamaican flags, exploring reggae music, and even creating their own guitars to strum along to the beat! 🎸✨

It’s been a wonderful way to celebrate culture, music, and creativity while learning about one of the world’s most influential musicians. 🌍🎵

This week, our little explorers have been learning all about Mary Seacole — a brave and caring nurse who helped so many people during the Crimean War. 🌍💛

Our babies have loved creating their own medicine bags 💊👜 and caring for their patients just like Mary did! 🩺💚

It’s been wonderful to see their curiosity, kindness, and imagination shine through as we celebrate such an inspiring figure in history. ✨
