HIGHLIGHTS OF WYKE
Congratulations to former Cottingham High School student Grace Oliver who studied French, Accounting & Politics at Wyke.

Before A-Level results day Grace reflected on her time at Wyke:

"A Level French at Wyke covered really interesting topics. I really enjoyed completing the Individual Research Project as it gave me the chance to research something that I have a personal interest in. The department also offered speaking sessions with a native French speaker and lots of support when I needed it . One of my highlights of my time at Wyke was the trip to Nice with the course. I am now going to Belfast University to study Accounting. Although I am not continuing my studies of French, the A Level in the course will give me an edge over other people who don’t know another language, help me get a job abroad or the chance to work with overseas clients."

Our students have now safely returned back from Borneo.

The final days were spent in Kuching visiting the fairy caves, taking a sunset cruise and having a final team meal with awards. We are really proud of all that they achieved across the past fortnight. 🌏💫

A huge thank you to Mr Brooke and Mr Gath for giving up their time to provide our students with the summer of a lifetime, visiting Peru and Borneo with Camps International and World Challenge. Your dedication, support, and commitment have helped create unforgettable experiences and lifelong memories for everyone involved.

A promising young player from our Development Pathway, Izzy continues her progression with the club after an excellent year of development. Her potential was recognised on the national stage when she was selected to represent the United Kingdom JPL at the 2026 Junior Premier League Warriors World Cup in Doha, Qatar – a fantastic achievement and testament to her hard work and ability. Our students have just returned from a truly money can’t buy, once in a lifetime conservation project in Lundu, Sarawak.

Students learnt about turtle conservation and the project led by the national park. They patrolled at night looking for turtles, released hatchlings into the sea and litter picked. They camped under the stars, enjoyed rainforest walks and even ate stingray curry! 🙌😎💙💚

Our students in Borneo have completed their acclimatisation and trekking phases and have visited the Semenggoh Orangutan sanctuary. All are doing very well and, aside from a few insect bites, fit and well. Tomorrow we head to our turtle sanctuary in the Tanjung datu national park for four nights camping. 🧡 🙌
